THIS JUST IN:

Harry Truman’s niece’s brother-in-law has officially left the Libertarian Party to campaign for Lyndon LaRouche.

More on this story as it develops...

Expect to hear more of these non-stories as the media scours the landscape and begins turning over rocks for former RINO has-beens who having been touches by the dazzling glow of Obama’s visage have decided to turn their life around and vote for the sainted one
The fact that 99% of most people will have never heard of these people will mean little to Obama’s media press agents.

Amazing how they present this as “news”. She has been playing a Dem on TV for years now. Nothing new here.

That's nice.

All I want to know is if she's good looking, and is she giving anything away for free?

The granddaughter of former US president Dwight Eisenhower says she is officially leaving the Republican Party

Susan, I remember Eisenhower, and I was and am proud that he was my president. Dwight Eisenhower served proudly as president and as a republican. Susan, though you may have the same last name, you are no Eisenhower.

The way to bring about change, in anything, is not to abandon it, but to stay with it through thick and thin, and effect change from within. As it stands right now, Susan, you have made yourself a lot more irrelevant than you have been up to now.

I don’t think Eisenhower was faced with the same social issues we have today except he was involved in early civil rights.

He would have probably been about like Bush and most of the GOP on the War on Terror.

Eisenhower did not have to deal with crazy taxes, whacky stifling environmental legislation, tort reform, infanticide, identity privilege-redress-victimhood, homosexual marriage.

He was quite tough on illegal immigration.

This lady is simply making believe.

Susan Eisenhower has been such a political mastermind and power broker for so many years. I don't see how the GOP can survive without her...sarc-off

She’s going to stop trying to destroy the Republican party from the inside and make an assault on it from the outside? Her only value and the only reason the press covers her remarks about Republicans is, like McCain, she’s a Republican. Joining the other party only diminishes her criticism IMO, but like Chaffee who left the party after losing his Senate seat, the press still refers to him as a Republican, so they will no doubt do the same for her.

Matter of fact, a lotta folks think that the gop is not all that conservative; in fact, the so-called conservative movement came pretty late in its history....

Instead she will be an independent because she said: "The GOP (Republican party) of today bears no resemblance to Lincoln, (Teddy) Roosevelt or Eisenhower's Party, or many of the other Republican administrations that came after that." She said "My decision came at the end of last week when it was demonstrated to the nation that McCain and this Bush White House have learned little in the last five years.
Susan Eisenhower apparently knew little to begin with, and has learned little in the past five months.
