Sen. John McCain's campaign is finishing a hard-hitting television ad highlighting Barack Obama 's ties to shady Chicago land dealer Tony Rezko, the one-time Obama patron who was convicted earlier this summer of fraud.
A campaign official said that the decision to Go Rezko was Obama's. "He's opened the door to this," the official said.
The ad will be released to network news divisions in time for their broadcasts tonight.
Though McCain is widely perceived to to drawn first blood by attacking Obama's character, the official said that the difference between Obama's mocking McCain for his wealth and his shaky answer on the number of homes he owns was that McCain's charge "reflects an existential reality," where Obama's charges "attack Cindy. She owns the homes. I thought he said the wives were off-limits."
McCain strategists hope that Obama's brass knuckles punch doesn't work. "Americans don't like this class warfare stuff," the official said. They aspire to be rich, the official said. They don't aspire to eat arugala or hang out with celebrities.
Earlier in the news cycle, McCain's press team invoked Obama's friendship with a former member of the Weatherman, William Ayres, and an official said that even Obama's former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, "is now fair game." The official declined to say whether the campaign was contemplating running an advertisement linking Obama to Wright.

Even though Bob Bennett said he is certain that McCain did nothing illegal, it was still “poor judgment” to meet with the loan shark (whose name escapes me at the moment.)
I would agree that his surrogates should do the heavy lifting, not McCain himself.

I would like to see, it say something about one reason he said he was unsure how many houses he owned was because he thought, should he count the one he lets his aging Aunt live in, and juxtapose that to Obama’s brother living in a hut on a dollar a day.

If they're running 2.8 million about Ayers in OH and MI that's exactly what we need. Open the checkbooks. Even small donations. We need to be able to match the left in grassroots technological fund raising/movement. I donate money to any outside group that takes a good swipe. So far these guys are my second after Vets for Freedom.
There is also Michael Pfleger. McCain has much more peripheral associations with Hagee etc than Obama (20+ years in that Black Liberation Theology church). Someone else mentioned here that that church is racist. Yes, but the key is that it evolved from the Latin American “Liberation Theology”, which was Marxist to the hilt. (In fact it was intended to “infiltrate” the Catholic church with communists, since they realized their atheism did not sit well with the Latin Americans). The Black Liberation church up here simply added racism to the mix.
I think the Marxist connections with the church Obama attended for so many years is where the push should be.
Many Americans do not know yet of this connection. My wife, who is originally from Latin America, saw it right away.
Nah, the average Joe has nothing against a Hagee or Parsley, the liberal media does. The average Joe is a white guy or gal with a family trying to make ends meet who has had racism shoved down their throat for the past 30 years and is sick to death of it. Show wright in all his racist glory right next to Obummer, the only people it will piss off is the lying media who try and spin their warped view as that of the Average American, which it isnt.
