Hardball time. Obama will fade into obscurity after his November Waterloo.

Sen. John McCain's campaign is finishing a hard-hitting television ad highlighting Barack Obama 's ties to shady Chicago land dealer Tony Rezko

Good on McCain! Obama threw the first 'real estate' punch, so he gets what he deserves.

I think these ads were already in the can, just waiting for the “GO” code. Obama just gave that to McCain, and now the counter-punch will hopefully be the knockout blow.

McCain may own 1000 homes; so what? There’s no showing he got any of them illegally or as a result of shady political deals. Obama is vulnerable here. I’m scratching my head. Could he really be that stupid to not see this response from McCain? What strategy is being pursued by his campaign?

Smart move! McCain’s folks aren’t playing softball. He clearly has an expert team. I hope that 527 really hits Obama with Wright again. He spent 20 years in that church and you better believe if McCain was caught dead being a member of a church pushing White supremacy he’d be dead meat. Black Liberation theology is racism pure and simple.

The AP just came out with an article about this group and Ayers. Yes, the article of course tied the group directly to John McCain, but I give the author credit for at least covering Ayers’ past and Obama’s connection to it.

Oh let's hope this is true and McCain's cojones don't shrink up.

Ugh, hit him with Rezko but leave Wright out of this. They’ll hit back with Hagee and Parsley and the average joe won’t be able to sort things out. There is nothing liberals want more than a religious war.

This is the type of foreign policy we should be practicing. Obama throws a rock but McCain throws a boulder.

It is going to get very ugly very quickly. Obama will come back with the "Keating 5".

I think McCain should keep focusing on Obama socialist and defeatist record, his horrible abortion record, and his position against drilling for oil in the US.

an official said that even Obama's former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, "is now fair game."

Why would it ever not have been fair game? Who was someone's pastor and close spiritual advisor for 20 years is clearly relevant concerning any candidate.

In Chicago, they just don’t see a problem with Rezko. Hence the blind spot which led them to attack on the “home front.”

Remember, during the ‘00 election fiasco, they sent William Daley to Florida to “ensure the integrity of the results.”

D’oh.

I do not care *who* started it. I’m on the way to the store to stock up on lots of popcorn!

I think McCain should take out our collective frustration about the Russians not pulling out of Georgia and just hammer The Messiah until he cries, “Uncle!” (Or “Jeremiah!”, or “Hillary!”).

Narrator:

“Beyond the speeches, how much do you know about Barack Obama?
What does he really believe?

Consider this:
United 93 never hit the Capitol on 9/11.
But the Capitol was bombed thirty years before -

By an American terrorist group called Weather Underground that declared ‘war’ on the U.S. -

Targeting the Capitol, the Pentagon, police stations and more.

One of the group’s leaders, William Ayers, admits to the bombings, proudly saying later:

‘We didn’t do enough.’
Some members of the group Ayers founded even went on to kill police.

But Barack Obama is friends with Ayers, defending him as, quote,
‘Respectable’ and ‘Mainstream.’
Obama’s political career was launched in Ayers’ home.
And the two served together on a left-wing board.

Why would Barack Obama be friends with someone who bombed the Capitol...and is proud of it?

Do you know enough to elect Barack Obama?

American Issues Project is responsible for the content of this ad.”

Sorry, but clearly a pastor with a twenty year personal relationship with a candidate who acknowledges the pastor as an inspirational figure in his life is a heck of a lot more relevant than some pastor who happens to endorse a candidate. Obama needs to be held accountable for his longtime acquaintances. Plus, you are just playing into the hands of the left by ignoring the issue, since that is what they want you to do.

It had never come from McCain, only from talk radio and blogs.

But, upon some reconsideration, McCain should not get into a mudslinging contest with Obama. There’s an old saying I’m fond of: “Never wrestle with a pig. You just get muddy and the pig likes it.”

Same thing here; McCain’s got Obama’s goat by whacking him over the head on the issues. Obama is whining with personal attacks. Obama is plummeting in the polls and looks childish. McCain has a winning strategy. Don’t abandon it!

It’s way past time for the testosterone to kick in. GOP has been in short supply of gonads for the past seven years or more!!!! When your enemies fight from the gutter, you crawl in after them and beat them at their own game. Our future is at stake and that of my children and grandchildren.
