Dude...

Please share with the group how Romney is a Conservative. And recent “enlightenment for an election” does not count as a true believer in conservative values.

We got into the “anti votes” because our two-party system decided they would throw us rejects as our only option to vote for. The birth of “vote the lesser of two evils”. I restate my opinion from the beginning of this cycle - A vote for a “lesser evil” is still a vote for evil.

I had recently talked myself into TRYING to hold my nose and vote for Juan.... all based on his pick for VP. I would then (at least in my mind) be voting for a VP and ignoring the top of the ticket.

So - again, I ask you or anyone else - convince me Romney is Conservative and not a Pro-Abortion Socialist. Show me. Please.

"I’m still hoping for Bigfoot."

I'd prefer Bigfoot over Romney!!

The only difference between Romney and Lieberman is that Romney says he's pro-life....now.

I wasn’t trying to be funny. If you can find humor in this election, you’re ahead of me.

It's like trying to find tatas on Chinese gymnasts.

>>>>>Romney is not a liberal.

His record shows differently. And I'm not whining. Just trying to get through to you dense heads. You don't have the slightest comprehension of what conservatism is all about, or how if differs from liberalism.

Romney is not a conservative and Romney is not the answer for McCain either.

Dave W speaks the truth.

All these whiney little babies on here need to get over themselves.

Well, I wanted Romney too, but we are where we are.
It positions him well to run in 2012 or 2016. Jindal needs to get some actual experience running something before he goes further—don’t be so quick to Obamatize him.

Great. A country club liberal. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if it’s Romney.

“He governed the most liberal state in the Union as best he could mostly as such.”

Anyone who would appeal to the people of Massachusetts would not appeal to me. He either lied to them about his positions or he is lying to conservatives - I tend to think the latter.

Your arguments for convincing conservatives to vote for a RINO who will bring socialism and massive amnesty, but on a slower schedule than Obambi, are valiant, but to me, they are still unconvincing, and I thank you at least for making the effort to promote RINOism steeped in Situation Ethics-Reasoning.

May I ask you?

Is Mr. McCain a RINO?

Or is he not?

If yes, then why are you voting for him or what is your plan to put shackles on him to prevent the slide were he to win? (or will you adoringly follow uncritically as a conservative).

If not, then what evidence to prove he is not a RINO but is a Conservative?

If you can answer this question in and of itself devoid of and detached from big, bad woof Obama, you will gain my respect.

Can't help it if some folks have been hoodwinked into believing the propaganda that somehow, after a life time of support for liberal issues and liberal causes, Romney has morphed into a conservative.

>>>>>>With that statement it shows you do not have a clue. Go Mitt.

Right, go Mitt! LOL

From Day One, people . . . from the first day of this overall campaign there was not going to be a conservative agenda. There could not be because the Dems are going to control Congress. There can be no conservative agenda with a liberal Congress. The president’s role in 2009 is to dilute the left’s agenda. That’s the best you can do this year, and to do that at all you have to win.

So - which does a better job of "diluting" the left's agenda?

A) Elect a moderate/centrist/capitulating President and somewhat liberal VP

B) Electing in the most conservative POTUS and VP that you can

?

The “Ping Patrols” are a little slow tonight. I figured both the Romney Apologists (who Freep 24/7, every one of them) and the Romney Detractors (known affectionately here as Bigots) would be pinged in by 50.

They dropped the ball, and this close to the convention. Sad.

Guess that matches the Republican Party then right? The GOP nominated John McCain.

If you don’t like it, please.. Get the F* out.

Mr. Bates, you have to give Mr. Romney some credit. He just started a PAC to raise money for GOP candidates. Then, if this turns out to be true, he’ll be running for the office of VP. The man knows how to organize.

Yuck.

Well, at least ol' Slick Willard has been a conservative since January 2007.
