The Clintons Vs The Obamas!

And it has not even begun...sit back, grab your adult beverage and enjoy!

DENVER— As Democrats arrived here Sunday for a convention intended to promote party unity, mistrust and resentments continued to boil among top associates of presumptive nominee Barack Obama and his defeated rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton. One flashpoint is the assigned speech topic for former president Bill Clinton, who is scheduled to speak Wednesday night, when the convention theme is "Securing America's Future." The night's speakers will argue that Obama would be a more effective commander in chief than his Republican rival, Sen. John McCain (Ariz.).

The former president is disappointed, associates said, because he is eager to speak about the economy and more broadly about Democratic ideas — emphasizing the contrast between the Bush years and his own record in the 1990s.

This is an especially sore point for Bill Clinton, people close to him say, because among many grievances he has about the campaign Obama waged against his wife is a belief that the candidate poor-mouthed the political and policy successes of his two terms.

Some senior Democrats close to Obama, meanwhile, made clear in not-for-attribution comments that they were equally irked at the Clinton operation. Nearly three months after Hillary Clinton conceded defeat in the nomination contest, these Obama partisans complained, her team continues to act like she and Bill Clinton hold leverage.

After a period earlier this month when the two sides were working collegially over strategy, scheduling, and other convention logistics, things turned scratchy again in recent days.

Some senior Obama supporters are irritated at how they perceive the Clintons fanned — or at a minimum failed to douse — stories that she was not even vetted as a possible vice presidential nominee. This is because she told Obama she preferred not to go through the rigorous process of document production unless she was really a serious contender, an Obama associate noted.

One senior Obama supporter said the Clinton associates negotiating on her behalf act like "Japanese soldiers in the South Pacific still fighting after the war is over."

Despite all we are being told about HRC releasing her delegates and party unity above all else; the Democrats are in serious trouble here..they once again are snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory and they only have their egos to blame.

We warned them, a "Clinton" never forgets..ever. Obama may be the future of the Democrat party - but he forgot one thing..Bill and Hillary have long memories and their supporters, all 18 million of them vote too..

Bill Clinton, in particular, has fought for his legacy since the moment of impeachment. Despite it all, Clinton won election by being a centrist Democrat in the eyes of most Americans - he brought the Democrat party to the middle and often did what the left thought outrageous (welfare reform..et al)..Now the party is being jerked back into left hell, far away from the Clinton building block of the 1990's..far away from the perceived economic accomplishments of the Clinton era..He wants to highlight that for the convention, showcase it..yet Obama will have none of that - It's his party now. Oh Barack..dumb move 2!

I have listened to those crazy HRC supporters, night after night on Blog Talk Radio, have read their blogs and yes, have personally spoken to quite a few of them. They are not bitter, rather angry - and from what I see rightfully so. They are ardent Clinton supporters who believe that this nation is first and foremost, while I don't agree with them on most social issues, I am surprised to hear and learn that we have one thing, the most imporant in common - America. They are saddened that their party is lost to them, they are angry that their votes are being dismissed because the powers that be decided it was Barack Obama that should be on the ticket instead of the one that won the most votes. Stand up PUMA'S, this may be your last chance to save the Democrat Party -before it's too late.

Hey at least they can't say Bush did it...or did he? hmmmm....

PUMA'S you are welcome in our big McCain tent...we love kitties of all sizes..and NoObama's allowed!

I don’t really understand this. Even if she releases her delegates, won’t there be a person by person vote? What’s to stop them voting for her anyway?

Just thinking of the most gawd-awful possibility:

If Hillary and her minions are not able to pull a coup and oust the Bama-man...

And Hillary has agreed to the pressure by party members to "play nice" at the convention and toward Obama...

And, at least feign that not being picked VP is not really as upsetting as we all hope...

Because she has been promised the next appointment to the SCOTUS.

That might have been the bait used.
It has been bantered about often before.
It would be worse than having her as POTUS, because it would be a life-long term of a liberal who doesn't value life for the unborn, if not for all the other liberal issues she would advance. But mainly, this would be a boon to Obama's infantacide support.

This is a more "revolting development" possibility than eight years of another Clinton in the WH.

Think about it. Could Rush's "Operation Chaos" and the ensuing media support for Obama have led to the creation of a more powerful Clinton monster?

Obama, weaker on terrorism than Clinton;

Iran letter sparks new fight between Clinton, Obama

http://www.reuters.com/article/asiaTopNews/idUSIndia-30287620071102

Clinton, battered in a debate earlier this week for backing a resolution labeling an Iranian military unit a terrorist group

Obama instead introduced a binding Senate measure nullifying the earlier resolution.

Clinton, of New York, was the only senator running for president to support the measure. Dodd and Biden voted against it, while Obama did not vote.

I wonder how Harold Ford Jr. feels about now! He was supposed to be the first Black president (after Bill Clinton)?

I spoke with a die hard Hillary fan after church yesterday. SHE brought up the subject. She is some kinda ripped at Obama and I can tell you for sure that she will NOT be voting for him. I suspect that there are lots more people like her out there. And I love it!!

Thanks Barack for knocking out Clinton Inc. You’re meteoric ascent to this level has been unprecedented in American politics. You’re standing on the shoulders of dirtbags.

What is this, the 2008 Democratic National Convention, or the Clinton Political Memorial Gathering?
