[Phoenix] - John McCain made it clear who his daddy was Monday morning.
Daddy Yankee, the hip-hop star from Puerto Rico, endorsed the Republican candidate Monday morning. Wearing black aviator shades in the library of Central High School here, Daddy Yankee said, I believe in his ideals and his proposals to lead this nation
Hes been a fighter for the Hispanic community.

Forgive my ignorance, but is this a joke?
If not, is this “hip-hop” star someone who the young of our America should be looking up to or is it the hispanic version of gangsta rappers?
McCain hip? How can that be? Haven’t we been told and led to believe that the Democrats have a monopoly on cool?
“...Hes been a fighter for the Hispanic community.
He’s been a fighter for the ‘illegal’ Hispanic community and race panderer which neither has gained any more votes (nearly all to Obama) and actually angers the Conservative base. Mr. McCain’s Amnesty bill that was killed in 2007 is/was his achilles heel.
Puerto Rico Ping! Please Freepmail me if you want on or off the list.
It says he’s from NY/Puerto Rico, why the Detroit Tigers hat?
He must be so proud.
No joke! Excerpt:
The Arizona senator spoke at a Phoenix high school this morning and had kind words for Democratic nominee Barack Obama.
``I have a very honorable opponent and one who will receive the nomination of his party this week in Denver, and I look forward to the last couple of months of the campaign with him,” McCain told an assembly at Central Phoenix High School, his wife Cindy’s alma mater.
(snip)
Daddy Yankee told the students that he’s behind McCain because of the Arizona senator’s stance on immigration issues.
``He’s been a fighter for the Hispanic community and I know that me, personally, I chose him as the best candidate because he’s been a fighter for the immigration issue. So for me, he’s the best guy to lead this nation.”

While I dislike the "music", Daddy Yankee does not go down to gangsta styles. He popularized the "rythm", and he is a young and intelligent businessman who also backs a number of charities.
It begs the question as to why a Puerto Rican would be concerned about immigration issues? They can come and go legally.
I swear some of you Freepers make me sick. What’s to bash? This guy might get more younger people or hispanics to take a look at McCain and hearing all these left wing kook musicians endorse Obama it’s refreshing that the biggest hip hop Puerto Rican superstar is endorsing a Republican.
It’s like the “Name that Tune” of elections.
I can wreck my campaign in 3 word.
“I swear some of you Freepers make me sick. Whats to bash? This guy might get more younger people or hispanics to take a look at McCain and hearing all these left wing kook musicians endorse Obama its refreshing that the biggest hip hop Puerto Rican superstar is endorsing a Republican.”
Ditto.
We aren’t the ones licking the boots of angry Hillary voters. Wanna talk about sick.
