Stands to reason.
I keep saying Nadhmi Auchi. Can’t keep all the names straight. Going back to read it all again.
Obama sure does have some scary friends.
love your tagline....lol
BTTT
WOW is right!
Can you believe it?
Mind boggling.
amazing.
>Journalists are not the only targets. The former Wikipedia entry for Auchis GMH remains available on Answers.com. It reads in part: In 1996, according to European news accounts, Belgiums ambassador to Luxembourg charged that Banque Continentale du Luxembourg, a bank that Nadhmi Auchi and Paribas jointly controlled until 1994, had handled personal accounts for former dictator of Iraq Saddam Hussein. Banque Continentale denies the charges.
>But the original GMH Wikipedia article has been taken down, replaced by an entry flagged as being written like an advertisement which mentions none of the controversy swirling around GMH.<
Whew boy! "Joe Biden's son is the one who got Obama out of this (Sinclair) mess."
And the Senator did some nifty work....
***********************************
On June 16, Senator Joe Biden introduced a new Bill, The Fugitive Information Networked Database (FIND) Act of 2008 (S.3136).
The bill will encourage States to enter new and outstanding felony warrants into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database by authorizing grants to State and local agencies to upgrade their warrant databases. This upgrade will make their systems compatible and interoperable with the national database allowing for seamless entry of state and local warrants into the federal database. The FIND Act will also authorize additional funds for the extradition of fugitives.
Yep....thanks for highlighting that!
Is this why Obama came out so forcefully about being against the war when he was only an Illinois state senator?
I always thought that was weird.....UNTIL NOW!!
(eye roll)
Thanks Phil...see link just above.
interesting read. looking forward to its development.
Geez...hadn’t heard about the alleged ties to Chechen rebels.....Good lord.
Perdogg ...have you got a ping list?
This needs some exposure.
Last week a prosecution witness testified that Obama attended a 2004 party at Rezko's mansion for Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi tycoon who was later banned from the United States due to a fraud conviction in France. A spokeswoman for Illinois Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn told NEWSWEEK that the event was a sit-down dinner, at which Quinn made a brief speech welcoming Auchi to Chicago. According to court documents, Rezko later sought to enlist unnamed "Illinois government officials" for help lobbying the Feds to allow Auchi back into the country. A lawyer for Auchi says his client denies any wrongdoing in France and has no recollection of meeting Obama; the senator, who denies doing any favors for Auchi, "does not recall attending this event," says Obama spokesman LaBolt, nor does he "recall meeting Mr. Auchi at any other time."And, here is what Newsweek left out, via the Chicago Sun-Times:
** To wit: Dem presidential contender Barack Obama's handlers may be telling the press Obama has NO "recollection" of a 2004 party at influence peddler Tony Rezko's Wilmette house, but a top Sneed source claims Obama not only gave Rezko's guest of honor, Iraqi billionaire Nadhmi Auchi, a big welcome... but he made a few toasts! Newsweek curiously left out that Obama toasted Auchi at the dinner.
Yet, Barack Obama doesn't remember meeting Nadhmi Auchi? That won't play in the general election, Barack. Prepare the swiftboats- It's time for some truth.
