You know, he's right.

She would do nothing for the ticket — just another Senator is all.

Indeed, she is a very nice lady. She has the same birthday (different year though) as Bob Dole.

Border squish, abortion squish, no Exec experience. Just another long-timer in the Senate.

Here is KBH's version of pro-life FYI...
SAN ANTONIO (AP) - U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, a Republican considered to be a potential candidate for Texas governor in 2006, said Saturday she supports a woman's right to choose to have an abortion before a fetus is viable outside of the womb.
Hutchison, speaking with news reporters after her speech to the Republican state convention, said her stance on abortion has remained consistent through the years.
''My position is I think there can be an ability for a woman, until viability, to make a choice,'' she said, adding that the state should have the right to impose abortion restrictions such as parental consent or notification.

I agree with you. Just because she’s a lady, doesn’t mean that this lady will get all thrilled. I would like someone with executive experience, especially at this time.

No, I believe she wouldn’t. They passed up Hillary. Being a woman this election doesn’t particularly mean anything.

Michael Medved is SOMETIMES right, and his thinking sometimes is a littlle different (neither good nor bad). I would say Rush is ALMOST ALWAYS RIGHT. Michael Medved is my least favor radio host or commentator.

I see no other GOP Lady (pun intended) with future potential than Ms. Palin, but she needs to gain experience and stay in her Governor role for a little longer.

She would do nothing for the ticket just another Senator is all.At least she would be coming from one of those states that really count in the electoral votes, but if John McCain if from the West he probably be best to pick someone from the East. Just my two cents, what do you all think about this.
To: ReformedBeckite
I believe McCain has Texas in hand. What other states were you thinking of that I might have overlooked?

Well one thing we do know is that selecting a female running mate will be a strategically smart decision. Picking Mitt Romney will be a Biden-like mistake. Even worse maybe.
You never pick a VP with baggage. Evidence of that goes back a long way and in modern times one can start with Tom Eagleton in 1972 for the track record of presidential candidates who pick VP candidates with baggage.

Very nice woman. True. But she has the same woman's disposition as Sandra Day O'Connor.
In any confrontation, KBH won't try to ascertain which party is "right". Instead, she'll try to negotiate a compromise that is "fair".
See her "stand" on amnesty, for example.
She simply isn't temperamentally equipped for an executive role.
