It’s my understanding that some military units of Chechnya loyal to Russia were involved with combat in Georgia. It would stand to reason that some of the rebels may have also went into Georgia to have a chance to kill more Russians.

What a powder keg this region is....and Obama has no idea about what exactly he should be doing about it...and McCain is crystal clear on his positions....gee...who should our CinC be?

Cindy McCain was very early into Rwanda with relief aid.

It was still so dangerous she could not go into the countryside but did set up clinics and distribute medical supplies to the victims of that disaster.

Maybe she can stop in Africa on the way back and adopt BO’s half brother.

I find it odd and if it were Michelle Obama instead everyone would be all over it.

Why would Michelle care about Georgians....after all, they white folk. And we all know how she feels about white folk.

What can she possibly do to aid their situation?

Cindy McCain's Mission to Georgia (Will Meet w/ Pres. Sakaasvili)

McCain is traveling with the U.N.'s World Food Program, whose work she monitored in Southeast Asia and Africa this spring and summer. McCain planned to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Sakaasvili, and to visit with wounded Georgian soldiers. She would also visit representatives of the HALO Trust, which works to remove landmines and on whose board she serves.

Wow! Thanks for posting this. I'd read it earlier and was digging it out. Cindy is a true, true humanitarian and has a powerful story to tell America.

Cindy McCain has done extensive charitable work for decades. She went to Rwanda last month, Vietnam and Cambodia in June. See pictures at:
