The convention is a four day commercial for Obama.

Gee.

Too bad I won't see any of it.

TV is disconnected until next weekend.

I really regret having to miss the ONE.

But I'm not going to plug the TV back in.

I agree the polls today as final predictors are meaningless this far out, I do think it is VERY important to note the trend in the polls which has been completely against Obama since early June.

"He might get points for polling well over the past several months. I found it odd that more people look favorably on McCain than Obama, and yet they’re tied, even when leaners are factored in. There are some problems with these polls.

" What's so odd about a liberal looking more favorably on McCain, the man and yet saying they will not vote for him because he is a Rep? Then we have the Bradley Effect which be responsible for adding as many as 8-10 points to "The One's" totals.

As I have said before, it's the trend rather then the actual numbers that are telling at this point in the race.

“They still give Obama a 61% chance of winning? Based on what?” ~ Russ

Based on their lying polls.

This is -THE- biggest BSR (BS Repellent) ammo of the year! Pass it on to everyone you know and ask them to do the same:

Pomographic Liberalism and the Parsing of Nothing

“...Since leftism is the political expression of nihilism, it is appropriate that the vacuous campaign between Obama and Clinton involves ever finer degrees of nullity on the dark road from nowhere to nothing. Example-American Digest:”The Pitch” http://americandigest.org/mt-archives/picturethis/the_pitch.php

What is the ultimate basis of the “culture war,” and by extension, the conflict between conservative classical liberals and illiberal leftists? What is it’s deep structure, the “either/or” at its foundation that is the cause of all the diametrically opposed attitudes on the surface?

The culture war is in fact a “war between the states,” the existential states of nihilism vs. theism. ...”

Out of all these, the only one I think is absolutely critical now is CO. I think McCain is going to take OH by a slightly bigger margin than the poll shows due to "Operation Chaos" and to the "Bradley Effect." A LOT of Ohio Republican crossed over to vote both for Hillary to stop Obama, and against her because they just hate her. Either way, those will not be Dem voters this fall.

So it's really coming down to CO. If McCain nails that down, he has over 270.

This means infiltrating the NEA and MSM. We should do it the same way the left has done it - a little bit here and a little bit more there, until we have chipped away at their strongholds.

It's nice to have someone see that. Here I am, a proudly patriotic American teaching in our public schools, and many people on FR say I shouldn't be "supporting the system" by participating. Just one rational voice in the schools makes an enormous difference, and I am far from being alone.

All McCain needs to do is choose a VP candidate that will reassure his base and draw Evangalican voters back on board, and I think he’s got it.

To be honest, the press still hasn’t let loose with their full bore smear capaign on McCain. Presumably they’re saving it up for October. But if Obama continues to fall apart, McCain has a good chance of beating him and even taking back congress, if he just doesn’t veer left again and name a pro-abort VP.

This is crucial, because McCain is an old man, and whoever he chooses as his VP would be the natural choice to run next time around. But only if he’s someone the base could support.

It’s not enough to rely ONLY on the anti-Obama vote. McCain needs to seal the deal, or we’ll get another 2006 with millions of disgruntled voters staying home. No use scolding me for saying that. I’ll vote if I possibly can, but as we’ve so recently seen, you need to motivate the base.

Audacious hope?
One theory is that it is people who realize how ghastly an Obama victory could be are betting he will win - as a way of hedging against that possibility.

Thank God for you and for people like you. If it weren't for you, the liberals would be even more brazen and over the top than we have yet seen. Do what you can to make a difference!
