I wondered if the daughter was put up to it in order to clarify Kansas City after Michelle noted the St. Louis gaffe.
Hard to tell. He could have easily said he was in St. Louis all over again!
St. Louis and Kansas City are filled with typical white people.
They all look alike.
That seems likely.
The little girls are really cute, but I think politicians should avoid using their kids as props, especially since it’s unseemly for us to say anything about them (as it should be for little kids).

Obama has made “gaffes” that worry me. This one doesn’t. The way these candidates travel, I’m surprised that they can remember where they are. Obama’s reference to gun-toting religious people, for example, revealed his heart. This didn’t reveal anything to me.

I have mixed feelings about showing the children. While I don’t like the idea of politicians “using” their children, I do like to see the family of the person I may or may not vote for. It completes an important picture.
As soon as they cut away to the commentators, they were absolutely tripping over each other to make excuses for Obama's not knowing what city he was in. It was ohhhhh so understandable, totally human, endearing even. If McCain makes a mistake like that, they'll have Altzheimer's experts on to analyze the early indicators. Humps.

No, it wasn't. Ear pieces are mandatory for those types of back and forth satellite hookups. Otherwise, when one side speaks, it would get picked up by the other side's microphone and get repeated, which would be picked up by the first site's microphones and repeated again.
Depending on the amount of delay, it would either sound like a Grand Canyon echo, or worse each echo be delayed by about a second or so.
