WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- The Republican platform may include a first-ever plank on global warming, an examination of a draft document indicated.

"Increased atmospheric carbon has a warming effect on the Earth," The Hill reported the draft document as saying. "While the scope and long term consequences of this warming effect are the subject of ongoing research, we believe the United States should take measured and reasonable steps today."

Sen. John McCain, poised to become the party's presidential nominee next week during the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., is a proponent of tackling global warming.

See what happens when you enable this type of behavior? Of course, the McBama supporters on FR will ignore it. You will reap what you sow. I hope you're not in business.

McCain at Work.

Supporter of the laughably corrupt and scandalous “cap and trade” agenda.

"While the scope and long term consequences of this warming effect are the subject of ongoing research, we believe the United States should take measured and reasonable steps today."

In other words, we don't know what causes it, but we should do SOMETHING. Preferably something that will create a massive new bureaucracy and cost billions of dollars.

GOP platform may have global warming plank

Why would anyone be surprised? They'll all babble about global BS, but when it comes to 40 million people walking into the country illegally, and forcing the American tax payers to subsidize it, there won't be a word whispered to stop this country killing invasion.

The GOP has all but ignored the biggest, most threatening domestic issues facing this country. All this while Bush has made American citizenship pointless.

The bad news is that McCain is committed to implementing a “cap and trade” system to address this hoax and so is Obama.

Translated: We have no clue what we're talking about, but we better do something about it.

I was going to hold my nose and vote for the republican idiot, but if they ad this to the platform I will be staying home.

I’m a conservative first, and this is where I will draw the line, along with a few other lines.
