I can only half agree with you. I prefer a young, conservative VP.

I agree. The thing is, there are not that many freepers anti Mitt.... they just like to jam a post. Mitt helps with Colorado and Florida according to polls. LOTS OF PEOPLE LOVE MITT, NOT JUST ME!!!! despite those few here who are so focal in their repulsion that it seems sociopathic.

Right now the conservative priority is to keep the terrorist barbecue buddy out of the Oval Office. If Mitt can help do that, Im in.
I'm with you. But what evidence do you have that Romney would be any better at helping defeat Romney than putting a no-name conservative on the ticket with McCain? In my opinion, Romney on the ticket is a net-loss for the GOP. He might even cost McCain the election.
THAT is the real reason Romney needs to be kept away. If the dems get his record out there, the ticket will become radioactive for conservatives.

Could mean:
Mitt is selected, or
A headfake by the McCain camp, or,
A Romney family member threatened Bush or the Messiah.

Dude, it’s Massachusetts. Do you also expect the Democrat Party to mount a strong effort in Wyoming?

I always wondered if McCain offered Mitt the VP spot back in February so that hed bow out of the race.Me too. It was so sudden and gracious. And I have been getting mail and emails from Romney asking to support McCain since the day he won. Plus Romney has been all over the country for McCain since.
I am really hoping it is Mitt so Huck can shut up.

HEs PICKING ROMNEYS SISTER!!!!....SMART MOVE!....GETS A WOMAN AND AN UNKNOWN AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!! Seriously, if McCain picks a conservative female (say Lynne Cheney..my personal fav), this thing is over! He can move into the WH tomorrow. I like Mitt, but I think he would be an underwhelming pick considering O blew his pick on butt-hair Biden.

Pretty much everyone is younger and more conservative than McCain.

Personally, I prefer Romney. Great economic background and will not let liberals get by with their lies Of course not. He agrees with them. Their lies then become 'truth' because someone on the 'other side' agreed with their premise. He's spent his entire career doing it.

But it sure is odd timing if thats true. There are also reports that Romney is being followed by men with earphones in black SUVs with Maryland plates.
