he assessed tobacco products with a "health impact fee" ooo...That was a classic.
The local talk shows had fun with that one.
He's pro-life.
He's decent on immigration. Tried to redesign drivers licenses to identify immigration status.
He did direct more money to highway projects in the metro area that were long overdue.

While I would prefer Romney, Pawlenty is a good pick. He puts Minnesota seriously in play, likely delivering it, he can whup Biden in a debate, he has more executive experience than the entire Democrat ticket, he’s young but not too young, and fills in some gaps for McCain.

Pawlenty has bought into the global-warming scam. That means no effective remedy to the high fuel prices, higher taxes, etc., . Romney will be a lot better V.P.

As a fellow Minnesotan, you have to admit that having Carol Molnau take over as Gov would be fun. I don't know how she would preform, but thinking about watching the local lib's heads explode brings a smile to my face!
For those outside MN, lieutenant governor Molnau is blamed in the local media for everything around here. The press has been after her head ever since she was elected.

He puts Minnesota seriously in play, likely delivering it... He barely won in 2006, only squeaking in against two Democrats. There is absolutely no guarantee he'll carry Minnesota, and no bearing on any other states.

having Carol Molnau take over as Gov would be fun. She even looks a little like Dick Cheney.

She even looks a little like Dick Cheney. LOL! that is exactly the image that comes to mind.
She was also the state arm-wrestling champ back in high school. (please don't make me look it up just take my word for it.)

Peter Hutchinson. He ran as an independent but had held office as a DFL.
To: Non-Sequitur
Thanks, I even looked it up but forgot he was DFL before Independence.
