A headline like that may seem inocuous enough, but amid the fevered speculation about whom John McCain will select as a vice presidential running mate, maybe its a tea leaf. Or maybe not.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, in Denver as an unofficial Republican observer during the Democratic National Convention, has canceled several TV interviews that were scheduled for this afternoon, said a Republican spokesman.
Pawlenty said his travel plans he is scheduled to be at the Minnesota State Fair on Friday remain unchanged.
The governor, of course, has long been said to be on McCains list of potential veep picks.
Reports have said McCain may attend a rally with his running mate Friday in Dayton, Ohio.

ooo...That was a classic.
The local talk shows had fun with that one.
He's pro-life.
He's decent on immigration. Tried to redesign drivers licenses to identify immigration status.
He did direct more money to highway projects in the metro area that were long overdue.
While I would prefer Romney, Pawlenty is a good pick. He puts Minnesota seriously in play, likely delivering it, he can whup Biden in a debate, he has more executive experience than the entire Democrat ticket, he’s young but not too young, and fills in some gaps for McCain.
Thank you!
Pawlenty has bought into the global-warming scam. That means no effective remedy to the high fuel prices, higher taxes, etc., . Romney will be a lot better V.P.
For those outside MN, lieutenant governor Molnau is blamed in the local media for everything around here. The press has been after her head ever since she was elected.
Well put!
He barely won in 2006, only squeaking in against two Democrats. There is absolutely no guarantee he'll carry Minnesota, and no bearing on any other states.
She even looks a little like Dick Cheney.
LOL! that is exactly the image that comes to mind.
She was also the state arm-wrestling champ back in high school. (please don't make me look it up just take my word for it.)
Who was the other D besides Hatch?
Peter Hutchinson. He ran as an independent but had held office as a DFL.
Thanks, I even looked it up but forgot he was DFL before Independence.
BARF
Are you feeling ill? Maybe you should lie down.
Who’s Paul Enty?
This is a deal breaker for anyone with a conscience.
