I thought when I heard him...that SOB is writing a total stereotype of what "he/she" thinks a lot of older white sexist conservative males feel. A-hole!

LOL! I thought the same thing! What does Rush call them? "Seminar callers"?

Rush just gave the base a big pep talk...we CANNOT allow Barry in the White House. We must think judges and we must be united in this election. It helps to have Rush leading the troops, too.

I was shocked to hear Krauthammer say that. I think it may be one of the first times I’ve disagreed with him.

And it is NOR rude that you stated rather emphatically, that America didn’t need her, that instead, her baby needed her? I don’t remember that you stated that was “just your opinion”...?!?

LOL, I wonder how many people will be voting for HER

The PUMAs will be.

I bet a substantial number of non-Black women will vote for her, just as a substantial number of Blacks will vote for Obama. Party will be secondary to history.

Many women (regardless of party) will not let the second chance in history to vote for a female VP to go by.

Many Black (regardless of party) will not let the chance to vote the first major party Black candidate to go by.

She does appear to be a very well-adjusted person- unlike the angry marxist and his embittered racist wife.

I think Palin is about the best pick McCain could have made. She’s as conservative as anyone McCain could have reasonably been expected to choose. Bound to help with the women’s vote. She seems fresh and well-spoken. If she’s up to snuff on the issues she should do well in debate against Biden who comes off as snide and sour. I was afraid McCain was going make a totally out of left field unacceptable choice like Lindsay Graham.

I’m really happy with Palin as VP. If I hadn’t said “May I be struck dead if I vote for McCain for President”, I’d probably hold my nose and vote for the guy. I’m not too superstitious to campaign for him though. Hah, hah.

The emailer cited at Fox is not alone, tho I DO believe he is in a very small minority ... however, a month or two ago I had a similar debate on this forum with a poster who insisted Palin wouldn’t be the choice because she had to stay home to raise her children, especially Treg.

Those peopole have no idea of the perks of power and high positions... I had read a news article after her baby was born that she took him with her to the governor’s office when she returned to work. The VP position offers far more perks.

For some reason, that question brought to mind the old political ad from decades ago: "There is a bear in the woods..."

My moderized version:
There is a bear in the woods. Would you feel safer if you were in those woods with Joe or Sarah?

Just got home to FR and my computer.

I'm so proud of McCain's choice. Sarah is beautiful, qualified and brings new life into the GOP.

Go Palin/RINO!

I would like to hear what Palin says about how she will deal with illegal immigration, but as an overall conservative, she is certainly a better pick than Grahmnesty, Lieberman, Ridge, or Pawlenty. She's probably a better pick than Romney.

And let’s be honest, how much does the VP really do? She’ll have quite a bit of free time to spend with all her kids and her husband will always be around. He’s the primary caregiver, from what I have heard and I’m sure there are aunts and grandmas who help out, too, not to mention the older Palin girls. The baby will not be neglected.

I believe it’s a soft cast for the hand surgery she had a couple of weeks ago. I can’t explain why it’s hot pink, though.
