Lot's of guesses about the music-- Hoosiers, Forrest Gump, -- Medved just said "Seabiscuit"-- but the music is for sure Jerry Goldsmith's brilliant theme from the football movie "Rudy." You can hear a clip of the score from the climactic final game on the link.
This is the music that was played when she came out and took the stage.
This has been a masterful stroke by McCain.
Obama and the dems are on the defensive about Palin, and they are looking very petty and shrill.
It has just eclipsed Obama's night.
Don't see much of a bounce coming for Barry, but it already has done wonders for McCain!

Also loved "Right Now" played when McCain came out; Mr. and Mrs. Palin are such big Van Halen fans, Trig's middle name is Van.
I don’t remember the movie so well. Was Rudy Irish? Because the theme has an Irish overtone.
I seem to recall a controversy in the 1990s when Rudy was running and Clinton was seen wearing a Rudy hat from the film.

Yeah, that was weird music at the end of the Obama show. It definitely sounded like it was part of a film score, but I couldn’t identify it.
