'HILL' HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED

DENVER - Hillary's got to be seething.

Picking political unknown Sarah Palin for the No. 2 spot on the GOP ticket is opening old wounds for Barack Obama and the Democrats, a top adviser for Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday.

"There is much we don't know about Governor Palin," former Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said.

"But at least in the short term, it will shake up the race, and leave some asking why Senator Obama didn't pick Senator Clinton to be his veep."

Clinton's reaction was congratulatory - if perfunctory.

"We should all be proud of Governor Sarah Palin's historic nomination, and I congratulate her and Senator McCain," she said in a statement. "While their policies would take America in the wrong direction, Governor Palin will add an important new voice to the debate."

Former vice-presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman to garner the nomination - as a Democrat - came out in support of Palin.

Yep, she’s likely to be secretly delighting in and wishing success for the Repub ticket (both out of her own spite and 2012 aspirations). Also, every time a Democrat tries to hit Palin with being inexperienced or unknown, it only serves to further undermine Obama (and amuse Ms. Clinton).

What a colossal douche! She had a chance to stand up at that podium and ream Barry a new one. She could have mentioned how he played the race card, cheated her in Michigan and Florida, his total LACK of ANY experience. She could have blasted the SOB to hell and preserved her own dignity (if there is any left?), but she caved. What a loser!

Sure, but you’re forgetting that Republicans throw old people out in the street, force them to eat garbage to survive, steal their social security, take away their medicines, rob them of healthcare,... blah, blah, blah, blah.............................

What happened in the end with the seating-the-delgates issue? Did they seat FL and MI delegates? The entire contingent?

Gov. Palin with Alaska Guard. Walk the Walk. Obama is just words.

She will support our soldiers which includes her son and McCain's son.

If you read Ferraro’s actual statement it was just short of an endorsement. I don’t think she want’s to burn her Democrat bridges comepletely.

Basically, Senator Clinton made exactly the amount of negative commentary about Palin that the rules of the game require - and not one bit more>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Exactly!

Message to PUMA?

Vote for Mccain/Palin

I don’t think so. He must be madder than she is right now because McCain gave them both such the kiss off. I would love to be inside his head right now. Bambi could’ve picked his girl and they could’ve worked things out. Now, they have no chance if the McCain-Palin ticket wins. It’s got to be coming out of him chapter and verse.

You're right. I listened to her too, there's no way that was an endorsement. To me she sounded as if she really wanted to endorse Palin but just didn't quite have the guts to do it.

> but behind the scenes you can bet Hillary’s cackling her fat little tushie off!

I wouldn’t be too sure. If McCain wins, then there is a good chance that Hillary will be facing Palin in 2012, which is not what I think Hillary would prefer.

If McCain is a semi-successful President and Palin doesn’t crash and burn in her own right somehow, Palin will be the Republican nominee for President in 8 (or possibly 4) years, depending on McCain’s health and desire to remain in office.

That’s got to be what really galls the Hildabeast.

This is the biggest coming-back-to-bite-you-in-the-butt event in the history of politics. It’s the Rats who created identity politics and it didn’t stay in the bottle quite like they planned.

Adding Clinton to the ticket would have made it very hard to beat and would make McCain adding a female VP to his ticket a "me too" move.

Obama is nicely outfoxed by the move. McCain/GOP FINALLY have some good strategists. Before Biden, I thought Obama would have been crazy to select Hillary -- baggage/arkanside/etc. Now in a brilliant 20/20 hindsight flash, he would have been much better off with her as per you comment.

One has to wonder how well Biden is sleeping. T'would be a pity if he suddenly was disabled by "sickness" or other and Hillary would have to be called in to save the Party. Those people have no shame, and it wouldn't bother them a bit if they pulled a "me too" at this late date.

That was the one move I feared Obama making. Adding Clinton to the ticket would have made it very hard to beat and would make McCain adding a female VP to his ticket a "me too" move. Thankfully, for whatever reason, or no reason at all, Obama went with the The Hair Club for Men choice for VP.

Imam Obama feared her too. The old saying "They're only a heartbeat from the presidency" would be haunting his nights had he picked her as veep and won. His wife knew this, and I'm sure she was at least part of the behinds-the-scenes players who put thumbs down on any Hitlery chance for veep. Don't forget, his plane almost went down due to a "mysterious" malfunction with the inflatable ramp deploying at cruising altitude. There have a been a number of kinkton enemies who have had "mysterious" plane mishaps in the past as well (Klink MO).

Politics have turned into a true "Blood Sport". There's too much money and too much power at stake here. Don't forget: "Absolute power corrupts absolutely".

I really believe "Mavarick McCain" and "Barracuda Palin" epitomize some of the best that both parties have to offer. With the exception of McCain's support of illegals, they land on the right side of most of my hot button issues. I had debated for the first time of not even voting in a presidential election, but bringing Palin into the game has me fired up and ready to go.

My 30 year old niece wasn’t going to vote this year, when McCain picked Palin she was ready to work the polls.

Many of us do not realize how the younger people are energized and longing for some of these exciting new people to take over(when she knew it was a woman, and one like Palin, she went nuts).

I am having this wonderful fantasy. McCain wins the election. In 4 or 8 years Palin runs for president against Hillary. What will Hillary run on: being a woman or having more experience?
