She walked out onto the stage in Dayton, Ohio with a smile that could light up Toledo — and Youngstown, Canton, and Akron besides. Welcoming her to the national spotlight, a huge smile creased John McCain’s face as he gave her an affectionate peck on the cheek and looked at her as a father might see a daughter on her wedding day.
There's steel behind that beautiful smile that Democrats belittle at their peril.....

The media love to be surprised. They love telling us they’re surprised. They love looking at each other on cable TV panels and telling each other they were surprised. Surprise is drama. Surprise is excitement. Surprise is the one thing the media never expected from John McCain, which — obviously — is why they were surprised in the first place.

I hope before the debates she gets coached on foreign policy - although I somehow doubt it will take the 300 coaches BO is reported to have.

I agree with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show that she has that Cinemax Librarian look, which is definitely not a bad thing.
Something tells me she could debate foreign policy right now and blow them away....

Yeah, and besides, it cut them off from their praise of the messiah's acceptance speech in their tracks. Especially leaking it like they did during the morning shows.

McCain’s campaign pulled off a stroke of genius yesterday. I don’t know how many saw the McCain ad that they showed on FOX news yesterday morning that had McCain congratulating Obama for his “historical” nomination and a successful convention, but it was absolutely awesome. I wish they would have showed it more often than they did. This was prior to McCain’s announcement on FOX. I thought that I detected a smirk from McCain in that ad.

And they are furious! It's downright funny to watch them implode. I'm going to watch Obama's remarks about her "in his own words" in about 15 minutes (I could always use a laugh) on Commie News Network, followed by an interview with Palin. I may be stayng up past my bedtime, but this is so worth it.
Sarah has energized the conservative base like nobody has in a while. The McCain campaign has new life and it's on a roll now.
I am afraid the Republicans will fail to catalogue Biden’s pronouncements on foreign policy over the years compared to the actual outcomes. If they did so, Mrs. Palin could point out that by simply flipping a coin in the past, she would have been on the right side of history much more often than Biden.
