The various factions of the Left have decided to “pounce” on McCain’s VP pick, Sarah Palin. What’s hilarious is that every one of the complaints about Palin by the yapping Democratic attack dogs can and should be applied directly to Obama. McCains vice presidential selection is more experienced and more qualified for the presidency than the Democratic nominee himself. That should tell you something.

They’ve basically got a glorified “I vote present” Illinois state senator running for the highest office in the land while they are complaining about a governor and, might I add, the only person on either ticket with actual governing experience. Palin stands in stark contrast to an Obama who has abundantly more baggage and a disturbingly tainted and problematic past.

I say burn the naysayers and doomsayers at the stake. It was a bold and fine pick Mr. McCain. Palin has a backbone of steel, is fiercely independent, strong minded and witty and has created her own success in life. Let the bully boys and the pit bulls circle and growl, but Palin should do you proud.

McCain has to be willing to be bold, calculating and willing to take risks. Whether the Palin pick will make much of a difference remains to be seen but the maverick continues to surprise and impress as the campaign goes on. He has done remarkably well and far better than many initially thought he might. This election is Obama's to lose but the "inevitability" factor has almost completely dissipated and his pick of Biden was one born out of desperation, panic and weakness in response from increasingly effective McCain campaign strategies.

Anyone else wish she was headlining the ticket?

I don’t think its Obama’s to lose....I think bambi is toast. Its McCain’s to lose, and with Sarahcuda on the ticket there is not much chance of that.

The only thing I am concerned about is cleaning up the mess of exploded moonbats all over the streets on November 5th....ugh...stinky, disgusting and putrid....and those are just the live ones.

Oh and about that birth certificate Obamao....
A fraudulent doc on a website don’t make for a “I proved where I was born”.

America’s not satisfied.

What did you do in Hawaii, hmmmm?
Why was it so important to go there at this time, hmmmm?
How many times have you seen your grandmother, hmmmm?

We saw some of that when Alan Colmes had to pull that terrible thread over on his website.

IMO, that is only the beginning of the blowback.

Barack Obama defined his opponents. In a wonderful example of “be careful what you wish for” Obama ran on the slogan “No more politics as usual.” And so McCann and Palin showed up to contrast Obama and Biden.

McCain, a seasoned maverick and Palin a modern maverick both challenge their party and brought out a new slogan, “Country before party”.

Obama and Biden are the two most consistent voters for the party line. Next to the republican candidates Obama and Biden don't look like they offer any change at all.

No, this is being played out just right and after four years as VP she will have a good shot at the Presidency.
I think John McCain has done a great service to the party and the nation.

On to November!

Aw heck, Todd Palin will drive the biggest Zamboni down the streets of America like a street sweeper. Sarah will get the volunteers to help.

Daily Koss et al:....":the baby was the Palin's daughter's"

Sarah Palin: "here is the original birth certificate for my new baby boy"

Perhaps Obama would like to like to show us his original birth certificate?

Palin....game set and match.

Nice article, but most of the comments afterward are pretty awful.
This is already turning out to be more viscious, I think, than the last 3 Presidential elections. I am a little concerned what could happen in urban areas on the day after the election if and when their side loses.

For the most part, I see conservatives arguing with facts about their opponents. The liberals are just vile and nasty and have to resort to making up things and are just so damn full of hate, it truly astounds me.
I’m so glad I’m not on their side anymore.

Whenever someone starts referring to someone with “our” in the title or reference, you have gone beyond politics and hit the soul, a very rare occurrence if ever.

(I have found myself referring to Palin in the “my” and “our” which has never happened to me personally when referring to a politician, I can't be the only one.)

I think that as conservatives we instinctively feel very protective about such a woman, whether she is a politician or just a mom at the grocery store. How many times have yall held the door for a woman with a shopping cart full of kids or let one cut in front of you in line to make her day just a tiny bit easier?
