Delaware?
You know, I’ve driven from New York or Philadelphia to Baltimore or Washington dozens of times, and although I’ve been told that Delaware is along there somewhere, I haven’t actually been able to find it.
Is there some trick to it?
We used to live in DE. The state is only about 17 miles wide along I-95 between NJ and MD, so if you blink your eye, you missed it.
But you didn't miss much. Other than the nice beaches downstate, it doesn't have an awfully lot to commend it.
Delaware? It borders Virginia. At least that’s what Tim Kaine said.
The trick is to not blink.
Delaware is on I95 between Maryland and New Jersey. One of the toll booths on I95 has a sign that says something about being in Delaware.
I think their only industries are the toll road and a chemical plant across the river from Philly.
A lot of companies used to incorporate there because it was cheap and nobody could find them. Now they incorporate in Nevada and just hide in the desert.
I think it's that three mile stretch of road where you have to pay the toll.
Downstate is beautiful. You might want to try a side trip sometime.
I think it must be somewhere around that Delaware memorial bridge, that would probably be a good place to start looking. I do know for a fact that Nascar has found at least a mile of Delaware and build a track facility around it. . .other than that though, I don’t think anyone has come up with a real need to find it.
