Palin's Pregnancy Problem
Washington Post ^ | 1 Sep 2008 | Sally Quinn

Posted on 09/01/2008 4:38:24 PM PDT by Mr Rogers

My first reaction was shock. Then anger. John McCain chose a running mate simply because she is a woman and one who appealed to the Republican's conservative evangelical base. Now, with news that Palin's 17-year-old unmarried daughter is pregnant, McCain's pick may not even find support among "family values" voters...This may be a hard one for the Republican conservative family-values crowd to swallow. Of course, this can happen in any family. But it must certainly raise the question among the evangelical base about whether Sarah Palin has been enough of a hands-on mother.

When the phone rings at three in the morning and one of her children is really sick what choice will she make? ... A mother's role is different from a father's.

"Hmm, let me see... Baby has a fever and needs rocking... President's plane has been shot down... Daddy's just lying here... Plus we have a nanny.... Guess I'd better not go over to the White House right now... Just tell the country my baby's sick... They will understand..."

John McCain chose a running mate simply because she is a woman and one who appealed to the Republican’s conservative evangelical base.

Lemme fix that

The Democrats chose a presidential candidate simply because he is black and appealed to the Democrat’s sense of guilt.

There, that’s better.

I wonder how many abortions Sally has had?

Quite a few, would be my guess.

And, since she considers the lives and decisions of Sarah Palin and her family to be an open book, I consider hers to be an open book.

They’re going to make the same mistake they did with Cheney’s daughter - we don’t approve of that lifestyle, but we sure don’t approve of using someone’s family against them as a political pawn - Kerry and Edwards thought they could turn values voters against Bush / Cheney doing that - instead they got exactly the opposite.

Ronald Reagan was tagged with having a DIVORCE problem that some said would cost him the election...did you bail on him also?

>>>>>Reagan was an optimist. Learn it. Live it. Love it.

You're confusing issues. Reagan was an optimist, but this issue has nothing to do with Reagan. This is an issue of poor judgment. McCain had the upper hand. He's now undermined his own campaign effort by making a dumb decision. Most folks are unwilling to speak the truth. I just spoke the truth.

From the whore that slept her way to the middle.

Funny listening to her lecture on morality.

I believe the recent unwed pregnancy rate among American women is in the 45% range while pregnancy among unwed black women is in the 65% range as I recall recent reports.

“I realized that when I look at him, I don’t see a person of color. I see a really smart, appealing, thoughtful person.”

Holy Poop! Who'd she say this about? Please tell me it was Obama. What does she reveal here about what she thinks of "people of color?"

It’s just that, instead of a shotgun wedding, they handle this “problem” with uterine lavage...

As an Evangelical Christian, and immersed within the Church, I can see Ms. Quinn has never really encountered a Christian closely...

What Gov. Palin’s daughter is going through is a brave, courageous act in keeping her baby. It would have been so easy to kill the baby and keep it a secret. But, that is not the world we live in. Christians will come to rally around this young girl, give her the love and support that her parents are giving her. And thank her for allowing her baby to live in the face of the fanged Democrats that are ready to destroy her and her mother. Sally Quinn is one of them. They are attack dogs who don't care who they tear apart in their conquest to have their Messiah, Obama win the White House.

We will hold Bristol and her family in our love and prayers through this time. Our God is mightier than their desire to destroy and if she thinks we Christians are as shallow as they are she is going to witness a might act of love and compassion for this girl.

Quinn for an extensive op-ed piece published in the Washington Post in which she complimented herself at length for not noticing the color of his (Obama’s) skin:

This is ALL about the McCain judgment factor.

As much as you’d like to make him the issue, Reagan is not the issue.

OPINION:

That’s a good point Steamburg.

I’m not a doctor, and I do believe Obama is trying to quit smoking; but smoking, generally speaking is never good for one’s health.

Quinn and her husband were married when she got pregnant with their handicapped child. Yes, the father has stuck around. As far as I know, her family was supportive. I think Quinn is a jerk and I’m just advising all of us to stay away from her. I suspect she wants to use her personal history to cast Palin in a bad light.

Sarah Palin has a baby, but no “baby problem”. The only ones with a “baby problem” are the nutroot left.
