Members of 'Fringe' Alaskan Independence Party Say Palin Was a Member in 90s (New leftist attack)
ABC News ^ | 9/01/08 | Jake Tapper

The campaign of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., likes to herald the independence of its new running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Officials of the Alaskan Independence Party say that Palin was once so independent, she was once a member of their party, which, since the 1970s, has been pushing for a legal vote for Alaskans to decide whether or not residents of the 49th state can secede from the United States.

And while McCain's motto -- as seen in a new TV ad -- is "Country First," the AIP's motto is the exact opposite -- "Alaska First -- Alaska Always."

Oh my gosh, this is the "scandal" that they've managed to conjure up?! This, while the DemonRats' candidate was a member of Reverend G-D-America's congregation for 20 years in good standing, has a great relationship with a known terrorist, wants to negotiate directly with Iran (which is EXACTLY the same as negotiating with Hezbollah and a dozen other psychopath terrorist groups), and never has anything good to say about America (his lead rant is always a negative "America is not the country it could be"; notice his constant Freudian slip of distancing himself from America at every turn, never "us" or "we", but always "the country" and "it").

Like Obama belonging to that anti-American church for 20 years

To this day I still don't understand why this isn't a very big deal.
Someone campaigning to be President of the United States was a member for 20 years in the black equivalence to a White Identity Aryan 'church'. Where are the 1/2 hour expose' that describes this brand of vile, racist, and blasphemous, theology? IF someone running for President was a member of this group for 20 years, and considered one of its leading proponents to be a mentor, and 'uncle' - you'd think it would get ample airing...

But I suppose not. Its more important to get a detail airing of all of the Palin's family's stumbles, and lack of perfection...
Thanks useless Media (just confirming the well-known fact that they are a wholly owned subsidiary of the DNC).

That’s it?
This is what they are resorting to?
Sarah Palin was once a part of a political party in Alaska whose motto was ‘Alaska first’ and this is supposed to be a big story? This is beyond pathetic, even for the media’s standards.

I think we can officially say Gov. Palin has caused the mainstream media in this country to finally and spectacularly jump the shark.

And Quebec. Don’t they try to secede every few years and return to France?

This kind of full frontal assault happened once before, when Bush II flew onto the carrier and had the whole nation in the palm of his hands. Scared the MSM to death, and they went after him with everything they could. Propped up the terrorists, kept them alive and got them started on the bombing campaign, and they did the bomb story every day until people were so sick of the story that they thought they were sick of the war. It wouldn't have worked, except Bush didn't fight back worth a damn.

Let's hope Palin fights better than Bush.

Amen to that! That is the main reason I am disappointed in Bush...he NEVER fought back like he should have.
