There is something curious about the release of traffic and court records about Sarah and Todd Palin over the last 48 hours. Who released this information over the Labor Day weekend, when all government offices were closed?
Why did McCain/RNC send a team of lawyers to Alaska to "investigate" the release of information?
Why did Sarah Palin suddenly hire a personal lawyer in regards to the "troopergate" investigation?
Is it possible the release of information was not legal? Was it done by the state police or other people in the Alaska government who are enemies of Palin?
What if the release of information can be connected back to Obama's henchmen or the DNC?
By henchmen I'm referring to FOO (Friends of Obama) who are not officially members of the DNC, but still take orders from Obama and his team.
Obama is well known for these types of slimeball activities in his previous elections.
Educated guess: the Democrats have a very well-established opposition research team in D.C.; more than one in fact. While they had thoroughly investigated and prepared dossiers on Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, and others, they never really considered Sarah Palin a viable VP candidate. When she was selected by McCain, they sent out urgent requests to their AK state office for any and all existing background research. What they received was essentially raw data, and in their haste to get something, anything, out there to counter the Palin “bump”, they did not properly consider which information might be useful, or in what context, or that some of it might create a sympathetic backfire.
I’ve been watching Palin for about a year now, and from everything I’ve studied:
1) She is not going to be “Borked” the left will attempt it, but she will fight them and win.
2) When things get a little tough she’s not going to pull a Hillary Clinton crying jag-I can assure you of that.
Good. It'll help the hotel economy there ;-).

Yes, she is popular with most Alaskans, but she made a lot of enemies within the government when she cleaned house.
This case seems very similar to Linda Tripp who’s defense department records were illegally released.
A woman loving and protecting her daughter, granddaugher (or grandson) has no place in politics.
Her unforgivable crimes: She didn't encourage Bristol to go to Planned Parenthood on campus and make secret arrangements to have her "product of conception" flushed from her life.
Our windfall: If she had, we would not have this wonderful opportunity to put new life back into "The Saviors" campaign after it was so rudely assaulted by an uppity white women with her redneck "boy toy", and resource-wasteful brood in tow.
What hypocrites: We're not. We hate life and make no excuses. We lie about lying, cheating and steeling. We aren't inconvenienced by "the truth" (which doesn't exist).
I know that a broken clock is right twice a day. So, I will have to say that obama did show some consistancy and class with his comments on the issue of Palin’s daughter.

Oh my god I am so sick of Republicans some days. What bad news? What? There is no there there. No Rezco (sounds like the name of a big box store selling lawnmowers) got a special deal on a mansion, etc. etc.
This is all aimed at the calvinstic republican base who feel that if you are not guilty you have nothing to hide. A 22year old dui. We have governors and senators with DUIs in office. Regulatory violations. Each of us each day rack up about $100,000 in potential fines for regulatory violations. We don't even know all the stuff we do that some bureaucrat has decided is against regulations.
No one drove off a bridge except the calvinists who delight in sniffing other people's dirty line to find out what fabric softener they are using.
What information?
If the people of this country don't wake up soon, all good people will be toast.

You appear to be making the assumption that the Obama campaign operates under some sort of code of ethics -- that it's just "haste" that's making the attacks particularly viscious. You couldn't be more wrong.

As Obama operatives scour records in Alaska for dirt on Gov. Sarah Palin, they are also seeking embarrassing materials about her husband. And it isn't just the Obama campaign. Several left-wing groups with ties to MoveOn.org have used their network to offer as to $5,000 for damaging employment or personal information about him.
Meanwhile, the Obama campaign has asked the DNC to coordinate surrogates that appear on camera to attack Gov. Palin. "Last Friday, the Democrat women they put all looked old and tired, nothing like what folks were seeing from Palin," says an Obama media adviser. "It was like, 'we don't have any good-looking younger representatives to put up?'"
Actually, I cynically interpreted Obama’s nervous reaction to his perception that attacks on Sarahcudda’s daughter would backfire. Obama is trying to rein in his overzealous and not-so-bright supporters, e.g., Diddy. John McCain brilliantly chose a Veep with character, judgement, poise, and strength. She’s driving the dims nuts, and their hysterical attacks are gonna backfire BIGTIME!
Discovered how? On the Internet? On a police computer?
The court and traffic records came out Sunday and Monday, not Friday. Government offices were closed all weekend for the Labor Day holiday.

That's why I get nervous when I see certain "stories" about Democrats erupting on conservative blogs without factual attribution or research. I happen to think our side is, on the whole, much more careful about it, but it's something to think about and guard against. Interestingly though, many (if not all) of the hit pieces on Barack Obama have not come from conservative sites but from the pro-Hillary blogs.
I just want to clarify though, that my assumption about Democratic "ethics" applied to the DNC staff in Washington, not to Obama's campaign operatives and certainly not to the blogosphere. The former are governed (and at least somewhat constrained) by Federal law. Obama's field ops would seem to be far less scrupulous, while the MorOn.org creeps have previously revealed themselves to be scumbags of the first order.
As for the "our women vs. their women" thing: I cannot imagine why any Democrat man would be surprised at the dearth of pulchritudinous females on their side. A party that promotes sexual ambiguity and militant gender neutrality will quite naturally tend to attract the unattractive.
