There is something curious about the release of traffic and court records about Sarah and Todd Palin over the last 48 hours. Who released this information over the Labor Day weekend, when all government offices were closed?
Why did McCain/RNC send a team of lawyers to Alaska to "investigate" the release of information?
Why did Sarah Palin suddenly hire a personal lawyer in regards to the "troopergate" investigation?
Is it possible the release of information was not legal? Was it done by the state police or other people in the Alaska government who are enemies of Palin?
What if the release of information can be connected back to Obama's henchmen or the DNC?
A lame attempt to cover up the fact that all the releases were orchestrated by McCain/RNC. They want to get everything out as early as possible, in the hopes that the resulting buzz will die down long enough before Election Day that the short-memoried average American voter will have forgotten.
Palin was a colossally stupid choice for the VP spot, and unless Obama pulls out at least 2-3 more Rev. Wright caliber skeletons from his closet over the next 2 months, we might as well get used the sound of "President Obama".
I think Obama knows that the GOP holds some damaging information on his wife, Michelle, i.e., the so-called “whitey tape” that could prove to be a bombshell if it actually exists.
You need to spend a lot of time communing with your soul if you think any of this is what in the real world passes for "news." If there is one thing that democrats understand it is the disorders of the Right. They target them everytime. And folks like you fall for it everytime. They are not insane. They keep doing the same thing over and over again, and it keeps working over and over again.
Think about this: imagine the story "old time liberal male/female: a. got hauled over for driving drunk b: 's son/daughter was tossed out of school for pot c: 's dauther had an abortion ..."
How much press coverage will this get. Answer - almost none. Press bias you scream? Naah, its audience bias. Their side just isn't interested.
I'm hoping he'll be forced to replace her too. The alternative is President Obama for the next 4 years, a period likely to be marked by extreme instability in political hotspots around the world and serious economic distress at home. Palin should go home and attend to the responsibilities of parenting all her children, before her 14 year old daughter becomes the next high school pregnancy statistic.
In many communities, court records can be obtained via internet. They can be obtained by fax and a phone call. They can be obtained by going to the clerk of courts and checking the records on file. There’s nothing unusual about her getting a personal lawyer to represent her interests and serve as a spokesman in matters pending legal resolution, especially for a public figure who must respond to many and varied constituencies.
LOL!
I don't know all there is to know about Palin, but she clearly seems capable of thinking for herself, but I'm sure she's grateful for your kind suggestion.
Who is Joe Biden’s son’s attorney, and who is paying for them? Also, what will Biden do if his son is indicted? Let’s see Campbell Brown heckle the Obama spokesperson about that. Never mind, I guess being pro-life is more of a crime than actually committing a crime.
Ken Starr is an idiot and deserves the scorn. He and Marcia Clark should become law partners.
In the political lexicon, Ken Starr is short for “out of control prosecutor.” Has nothing to do with the facts.
You seem awfully keen to toss her over the side. At this point she seems to have no more baggage than any other high level politician.
Palins lawyer was hired 3 weeks ago.
I'm afraid the DNC staff, both in Washington and Chicago, are effectively under the control of the Obama machine. Federal law technically constrains outright dirty tricks, but it in no way prevents the same dirty tricks farmed out to operatives. Plausible deniability has taken on a whole new meaning in both the DNC and the mainstream media.
I’m keen to toss OBAMA over the side. Choosing Palin for the VP spot virtually guarantees that Obama will win. I’m dead set against anything that helps him win. Though McCain’s choice of Palin seriously calls his judgement into question, making me wonder if a McCain presidency would really be a whole lot better than an Obama presidency.
Aren’t you an infamous Romney supporter?
Oh yes, NOW I understand why you don’t like Palin.
Romney OR Ridge Or Lieberman as VP = Obama as president.
The only other politician besides Palin that gave McCain a chance to win (by mobilizing the conservative base) was Bobby Jindal. And he took himself out of consideration.
Romney would have been fine with me, as either President or VP. Though I think as the VP candidate, he might well have made McCain look old and weak, and thus have been a less than ideal pick. He’d have been a lot better than Palin, however . . . as would about 100 other possible VP picks. If Romney (or any of the other 100 or so) had been picked, we wouldn’t be witnessing a gathering media storm speculating as to whether the VP nominee would be withdrawn before Election Day.
I don’t doubt at all that you feel that way.
