Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich did what conservatives have been waiting for someone to do since Sarah Palin was announced as John McCain's running mate: take on someone in the media claiming that she lacks the qualifications to be vice president.
Such marvelously occurred Tuesday evening on the convention floor in St. Paul when MSNBC's Ron Allen said to the former Speaker, "But to be fair, her resume is not something we're familiar seeing with presidential candidates."
This didn't sit well with Gingrich who strongly replied

Okay what has happened to the Republican party. They used to just run and hide, now they are all going on the offensive. Rudy just destroyed Bob Schiefer(sp?) on CBS Sunday as did Tim Pawlenty on Meet the Depressed and again on Fox tonight and now Newt.

Regardless of what the media says, common sense will prevail. Most Americans arnt stupid like the media would love people to believe....obama is toast.

Reminds me of how Gingrich could have succeeded Clinton in the Presidency, if not for his hubris.
Why, Newt, Obama has several years experience on that Annenberg financed commission with William Ayers. Oh, forgot, Obama never really knew Ayers.
But Republicans do need to start throwing it back at the MSM on every damned question, because practically all their questions contain all sorts of leftists assumptions and statements.
And, as has been said here often, Obama is a lightweight, in experience and in off teleprompter knowledge and intelligence. He’s the most unqualified nominee at least since WWII. That’s need to pointed out often, also.
Newt set the example and others need to follow it.

Correct. Her resume exceeds that of the present Democratic nominee for President.
