First impressions matter, and for the past several days, Americans haven’t exactly seen the most positive view of the new face on the political scene.

Gosh, CBS, do you suppose that your non-stop parroting of the Obama campaign's anti-Palin talking points might have been a factor in that?

To have a first impression you have to meet a person, and the nation did not meet Sarah Palin until tonight. Before tonight, all the nation got were stories about Palin, stories that were filtered through the extreme bias of the media.

But tonight Palin introduced herself to the American people. The media could not censure her as she spoke on the television. She spoke directly to the people in front of her, to their minds and their hearts.

The shills for the Democrat party in the media can spin this speech any way they want. The American people know what kind of person they meet tonight in their living rooms. They won't need anyone to tell them what they saw and heard. They will form their own impression. And it was indeed a very good first impression.
