“Take a stroll over to “demorat underground”. The wailing and gnashing of teeth is in full swing this AM. Delusions seem to overwhelm a lot of their mindless rants, but overall the palpable sense of doom they’re experiencing is pretty darn enjoyable!”

Take a stroll over to hillaryclintonforum.net. A big bulk of the PUMAs are in love with this lady. They're sad taht Hillary is out, but they are rallying behind Palin like Reagan democrats.

Who wants to bet that starting today, Sarah Palin frames will become a top seller at the optometrists. LOL

She certainly has the naughty librarian look down pat. :)

Those are violent, extremely disturbed and mentally unbalanced people. Consider that the odds are nearly 50/50 that the person standing next to you in a checkout line is one of them.

Now you know why I carry a firearm EVERY time I step out of my house.

I live in a police state.
[formerly known as the “free state”, ironically]

I have to rely on the “sheer insanity factor” and a knife, if attacked.

[which I’m not allowed to carry either]

Luckily, I’ve got the “sheer insanity” part down pretty good...:))

“Obama fans hoping she would fluff her big night were in for a nasty shock.”

To paraphrase what must have been Joe Bidens thoughts, “Oh, crap!”

Favorite line from Sarah (among many last night) was her comment about Obama: “After he gets done healing the planet and parting the waters....” Great, Great line

Completely agree!

A Tornado blew through Minnesota and Dorothy's house just landed on Obama.

I think those Ruby Slippers that Obama has been dancing in for the last few months will fit Sarah Palin just fine.

Ding Dong the O is Dead.

And it was seen by 30 million voters – the greatest number ever to watch a candidate for the much-derided VP post.

Where did they get this number? Has this been confirmed?

Democrats and their Lefty media backers had been sneering that she was a small town nobody, a hick from the Alaskan sticks put into a job way beyond an inexperienced woman. Believe me, you will not be hearing that again.

Of course we will.

I am a retired 22 year veteran of the military and truly loved the line;

“And though both Senator Obama and Senator Biden have been going on lately about how they are always, quote, “fighting for you,” let us face the matter squarely.

There is only one man in this election who has ever really fought for you... in places where winning means survival and defeat means death... and that man is John McCain. In our day, politicians have readily shared much lesser tales of adversity than the nightmare world in which this man, and others equally brave, served and suffered for their country.”

Tears to my eyes, (had to make sure nobody was watching) and a tug at my heartstrings. I know why I served and still serve today.

Don’t know about the ratings numbers but I expect that many millions more will watch it today and in days to come on YouTube etc. With the “buzz” after the fact this speech should go viral in a huge way. Anyone who didn’t watch and who is a sentient being will want to know what they missed.

"Today she is the most talked-about woman in the world. And with good reason."

Sorry, Hillary, your party screwed you over and now you are HISTORY.

As for all the silly libtards who sneered and looked down their noses at Sarah Palin, apologies and grovelling are in order. Governor Palin has schooled you and sent you to detention hall.

Barack's sidekick Joe Biden looks a dull old dog compared with the ball of fire that is Palin. But most fascinating of all, consider this: If Obama loses, Hillary Clinton will run in 2012. Opposing her is sure to be Sarah Palin. That would guarantee America its first woman president.

And my fistful of dollars, having seen both in action here, would be on Palin.

Two months ago, any regular freeper could recognize her by face and discuss the political, policy and governing merits of a Palin choice. Maybe she wasn’t so well toasted by the hob-knobing DC media dinner party crowd, though.

““a hick from the Alaskan sticks”

“Hicks” built this great country and nobody ever better forget it.

Yep! I wrote this a few minutes before Palin’s speech.

Katie! It’s NOT the United States of D.C.!

What a bunch of arrogant, ignorant jerks! Yes, the media. I’m stuck with CBS’s Katie Couric to cover the Republican National Convention and Sarah Palin.

She described Palin, after a profile spot on the independence of the people of Alaska, as being part of the ‘extreme fringe’. It wasn’t an act. Katie really is that stupid. And dangerous. Witness the elitist, power broker mindset and it’s nothing new. Why don’t you just say it Katie, the look of your disgust for anything you can’t understand is apparent.
“ Knuckle draggers, rednecks, White trash”....that’s what she wanted to say.

Katie thinks she’s safe merely insulting the state of Alaska, but what she’s too narrow minded to see is that those same kind exist in every state. She insulted us all. The millions upon millions of us that Katie describes as the ‘extreme fringe’ have watched her kind through out the history of this nation as we settled and built it and fought for it so idiots like her could spout their uninformed opinions. Surprise! I hate to be the one to tell you, Katie, it wasn’t illegal aliens from Mexico! It was people just like Alaskans. People who love the land, love their kids and value education and independence above most things except God and Country. They don’t need her or her socialist ideas and that offends her.

She’s the kind that cleaned Native Americans from their homes because, after all, they were mere savages. “The fringe...” All Katie shows is how little she knows of what the United States of America is supposed to be or what its people are like.

Craig Ferguson, unfortunately on CBS, said it best describing what the United States of AMERICA meant to him becoming a new US Citizen. This isn’t the exact quote, but it’s close.......

America is the expression of people who just want to be left alone.

Katie reminds me of an encounter with a New Jersey banker, likely a Biden supporter, a few years ago. His daughter was marrying a relative of mine and they flew out to Oregon for the ceremony. After the libations, he took my hand, explained how they expected to find dirt roads, kerosene lamps, no means of transportation and people who couldn’t form a sentence. He said, “We’re so delighted! You’re just like us!”

I took my hand back, smiled and did not say, ‘Oh, my, I hope not!”

Katie just doesn’t get it.
