"John McCain has the experience, judgment and character to lead America in a changing world.

It’s not just about John McCain’s lifetime of selfless service to a nation and its people. It’s about his knowing who the enemy is and what to do about them.

It’s about his understanding that associations do matter, and that America, though flawed, should not be damned for creating a place so many want to call home.

John McCain knows that mere words about change are not enough to transform this nation or move it further along the road to prosperity and security."

It's nice to know we also have Michael Steele and Bobby Jindal coming up.

Came in at the tail end. Thanks for posting. Living here in the DC area I’m familiar with what a great guy Steele is, and what a shame it was he lost his Senate race. Glad he’s running GOPAC, I hope to see him as RNC chairman before long, kicking Dean’s ass every Sunday.

In other words, drill baby drill! And drill now!

AMEN, Mr. Steele. Great Speech as usual from the speakers!!! Sarah really did a great job last night and to paraphase Michelle (Mrs. B Hussien) Obama - for the billionth time, I felt PROUD of America.

You know, I haven't heard anyone say "God Damn America", "AmeriKKKa" or anyone talking about 9/11 being an inside job. How refreshing it is to hear how GREAT America and Americans can be!

I love Michael Steel and his “Drill baby, drill” comment was great! The crowd went wild! And when the crowd repeated it during Rudy’s speech, Rudy was a bit surprised but loved it. It was obvious that most likely Rudy was back stage or somewhere waiting to go on and didn’t get to hear Michael’s speech.

Wish Michael could have said this quote from our Freeper Tarpon:
“Who to vote for, the racists anti-American black guy and the doofus, or the all American war hero, and his all American Conservative woman running mate. Tough choices, unless you know what country you live in.”

Saw him on C-Span. He gave one heck of a stem-winder. And that "Drill baby drill!" thing that everyone was chanting later came from him.

It's too bad Steele was so early. His speech was easily as good as Rudy's.

I am filled with optimism at the new guard of the GOP and Micheal Steele is certainly one of them.

He was great!

I didn’t see a BAD speech by anyone last night. Steele was fabulous. Romney made me laugh, Huckabee made me cry, and when Piper slicked back her brother’s hair, I about fell off the couch laughing.
