New website which provides background info on Us Weekly's filthy lies about Sarah Palin, and a complete list of Us Weekly advertisers with phone/email.
I like the idea of civil disobedience that was put forth on FR earlier today. Pick up a different magazine out of the rack and set it in front of Us, Rollingstone, Time, etc.
If we can get 10,000 people doing this on a regular basis, it will definitely hit them in the pocketbook.

Thanks, that saved me a bunch of legwork. I was working on compiling a list of advertisers to boycott. I sent a mass email to my political list of transportation workers. 986 of ‘em.
It’s better to accidentally spill coffee on them. That way, they pull them all off the rack.
I will bury it whenever I see it, cool idea.
I was told years ago (don’t know if it is true) that if you receive unsolicited materials in the U.S. Mail, you can take it to the Post Office and declare it unsolicited pornography. If I am correct, they have to, by law, prhibit the sender from ever communicating with you again.
Hope it is true.

“Do you realize how asinine this web site is? It has a banner at the top of a mother caring for a small baby. You also state your company is a “family” company. Then why do you advertise in a magazine whose stated mission lately is to denegrate one of the finest mothers in our country? Specifically US Weekly.”

You can take mail and write DECLINED on it and put it back in the post no charge to you.
Rather than boycott them, may I suggest that you obtain as many of their subscription “bingo cards” as possible. (You don’t have to buy the magazine, just swipe them while waiting on line at the grocery store.)
Fill them out for the maximum term for someone you know with an Obama sticker on their car. Deposit them in the mail.
Do it several times a week.
Keep it up month after month.
I just got back from the grocery store and in the checkout aisle a woman was explaining to (I’m assuming her kids - they were next to her) what was going on and succinctly explained how Palin was being smeared. I think the truth is start to get out there.
Alternatively, you can recycle them, use them to line animal cages, use them for firestarter, etc. This is because as long as they keep sending the magazines to you and you aren’t reading them, they’re losing a small amount of money.
