Worth reading. Looks like we stand a fighting chance in the money department.
(Excerpt) Read more at news.yahoo.com ...
Raising the money from voters is nice, but keep in mind that McCain’s wife can legally donate as much as she wants...campaign laws permit it...and she’s loaded.
If the man needs an extra $50 or $100 Million to win, she can put herself into the 1st Wife’s club of one (at a time).
Yeah .. I’ve said that before, but this
infusion does a lot in the PR dept. for
the public at large. Doesn’t make him
the look subordinate or the lesser faction.
$200 million? Geez.
Rush said today that Zerobama has 68 mil and the donations have started tapering off. I think I’ve figured out why McCain was taking that long nap up until last Friday morning. He knew all hell was about to break loose. Typical Naval aviator.
It’s not about the money, it’s about the FIGHT.
We’re ready.
And the money comes out when you have a winner in the ring.
;) The O campaign has spent a fortune .. they’re still raking it in, granted; but look at the cost of that convention extravaganza .. in 2 sites .. with Beijing fireworks and columns .. alone, plus 300 foreign policy advisors ..!
I heard tonight on FNC that Sarah Palin is going to do 30 fundraising events over the next 60 days. ($$$$$$$$$$$)
Whoa ....
I think their general fundraising period is over, but I really don’t understand all the intracacies of these fundraising details.

Because the McCain-Palin Campaign is participating in the presidential public funding system, it will not raise private campaign contributions after August 31, 2008. However, federal law allows the Campaign to establish the Compliance Fund to defray legal and accounting compliance costs and preserve the Campaign’s public grant for media, mail, phones, and get-out-the-vote programs.
I assure you that if I’m elected president, the era of reform and problem solving will begin. From my first day in office, I’ll work tirelessly to make America safe, prosperous and proud. And that, my friends, is the kind of change we need.

what are you saying?....we can’t donate directly to the McCain/Palin campaign?
Amen!
you can donate to GOPAC or GOP in your state which can run generic anti-Obama stuff
or even better...527S
any serious campaign folks here know
Essentially. All they can accept new funds for legal/accounting type stuff. However, the RNC has a McCain Victory fund set up. The RNC can spend money on getting out the vote, advertising etc etc. It’s just about as good as giving to McCain.
There it is ... thanks, stl!

The money raised between now and Nov. 4 will go to the Republican National Committee and state parties, which can buy advertising and conduct get-out-the-vote activities to support the ticket.
Because McCain is accepting a public grant of $84.2 million to finance his general election bid, he is no longer allowed to raise funds for his campaign directly.

And, sure, you can certainly donate to one of the many, many independent PACS or 527s.. such as: http://www.americanissuesproject.org,
which is the organization that’s getting the truth out about and has been running the terrorist William Ayers’ ads ... Snowbama’s buddy... and who Snowbama’s threated every which way but up.
This is the best place for the money now. Well , placed adds getting the facts out in a unvarnished way is what we need . ALL the facts .....

such a stat would easily drive home what happens when you leave a dem in charge of finances...
