The Bad Part of Sarah Palin's Speech
Texas Songwriter

Posted on 09/05/2008 9:35:33 AM PDT by Texas Songwriter

I said to my wife something which Rush Limbaugh said yesterday. The only thing bad about Sarah's speech was that she had to come to an end. I told my wife as Sarah spoke that I could listen to her all night long. Mesmerizing.

I worked late so asked my wife to record it. My wife then went about her usual apolitical things i.e. not watching it, not even being in the same room. I came home from work. My wife went to bed. I sat up and watched the speech.

To her querry the next morning I said, "Oh, it was a decent speech."

Later that day my wife sat down and watched it. On Thursday I again arrived late from work. It says right here my wife RAVED about the upbeat quality of Palin's speech.

Her reaction, above any other I have seen or heard explains it capital letters why Democrats and other liberals such as the MSM are suddenly terrified. Read that TERRIFIED...HORROR STRICKEN...

The bad part of her speech was her lauding John McCain’s Maverickness.

I could do without the propping up of his unconservative behavior.

I don’t agree. I like her voice. I’m a contrarian, but I’ll take orders from someone I really respect, and that’s what I felt about her.

Reminds me of the 70’s, or earlier, commercial “Everybody doesn't like something, but nobody doesn't like Sara Lee.”

Had a catchy tune and I still find myself humming from time to time. It's a great tune for getting “It's a Small World” out of your brain!

re: where was that Thompson during the primaries?

I think he was running scared! I don’t think he ever really wanted to run for, much less BE, POTUS. But he’s just too nice to say “No, thank you!”. He had been warned by advisers that if he behaved on the trail like he did the other night he ran the real risk of being elected.

Well I was amazed that she spoke as long as she did without one mistake. I don’t know if she could have kept it up, it would have been superhuman. She appears to be almost that, but nobody actually is. I think the length was just about right.
