After lackluster showings in viewership at the beginning of the week, the Republican National Convention bounced back on Wednesday and Thursday, making it the most-watched political convention in American history (or at least since Nielsen began recording convention viewership in 1960).

Still, it's good! :)
Take that Barack Apollo Obama!
Wow. I enjoyed this more than the Democrat Convention of 1960 my previous favorite. So I was a wierd kid.
There goes the enthusiasm gap. Poof!
How many viewers? I couldn’t get in on the site.
38 million for Obama:
MSM:”The most watched speech of all time! Record breaking!!! Nothing like it-ever!!!! America newest star!!! These numbers show America wants change and that change is OBAMA!!!!”
40 Million for McCain:
MSM:”Mccain had more viewers after a lackluster beginning....”
This is more proof of a McCain/Palin victory and a Republican Sweep in November. If things work out right, we can have 16 (or more) years of Republican domination of the US government. That will mean the End of the Democrat Party. We could see a Generation of Republican One-Party Rule, or longer.
“Record numbers of viewers tune in to the GOP convention”
Cool.
“...So I was a wierd kid...”
Yeah, me too. I got excited about politics in the 4th grade when I first heard Eisenhower’s political speeches. Have been excited about presidential elections ever since.
And you know there are more registered Republicans in this country than Democrats. We just have to make sure they all get to the polls and we also need to make sure that we get some congressionals in there to help McCain/Palin out!
Where did you get the idea that there were more Republicans than Democrats? Unfortunately, I think the reverse is the case. Something like 36 D, 32 R and 32 I.
By the time Tuesday rolled around, the fury over the MSM’s hateful treatment of Gov. Sarah Palin was beginning to reach a crescendo.
Well, it would seem that the demise of Republicans seems to be greatly exaggerated....
Nice, 78 million tuned in for McCain/Palin, 62 million for Biden/Obama...16 million more people watched these two.
That is surprising.
It’s amazing! This is the Palin effect.
“Obama... YOU’VE BEEN PUNKED!”
You betcha!
IMO it is a smart media strategy to sort of keep her away from the media at the moment, that will only build demand, and modify bevahiour on the part of the MSM.
You would like Sarah to appear? After that hit piece?
And thank you Media(contributing members of TeamObama) for your ceaseless efforts at introducing Sarah Palin to the American public...it seems a whole lot wanted to hear and see more about her...guess there is some truth to the old PR adage that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Snark snark.
Aaahhhhhh. . .
Schadenfreude. . . Karma’s German cousin.
the Deets
Thanks for the correction. It was something I heard on the radio while driving back from West Virginia.
