And all the more important that she be the conservative standard bearer for years to come, her and others like her.
Although the article seems spot on in its focus on the cultural left’s hatred of traditional religion and traditional family life (and, no doubt, Governor Palin is the embodiment of traditional religion and traditional family life), there may be a little more to some of the left’s unhinged hysteria. It may be that the Campbell Browns and Sally Quinns of the world are thinking deep down, “oh, my gosh, surely I wasn't wrong in thinking I had to choose between a full family life and a career; surely Palin must be some kind of “white trash” boob (they are actually using the term “trailer trash”) that has overestimated her abilities.” The reaction may be a little less personal with Brian Williams and other unhinged males; but even they may be afraid they, or their wives, or their close female friends have gotten it wrong.
To her credit, Sally Quinn seems to be realizing her mistake in prejudging Governor Palin. I suspect Campbell Brown, Nora O'Donnell, and others will not.
On the other hand, lots of this nonsense could just be the underlying assumption on both coasts (and we see it a lot) that conservative women from Red America are ignorant; and if they are good looking, they are ignorant sluts. Just plain old elitism, only this time on steroids!

You know, as I was reading the article — the thing that came to my mind was; it’s like trying to explain crazy to someone that has lived a relatively normal and sane life, with normal parents, and a normal family and upbringing.
Until they see crazy live and up close and in person, you can’t fully appreciate it and comprehend it.
The left has literally gone to “Jim Jones” levels of following “the one.”
They simply can’t explain their hatred and vile contempt towards Sarah Palin, and they don’t have any rational explanation for it — they simply can’t stop themselves now.
Even if they wanted to, they can’t stop themselves...it is pretty scary if you think about it.
Because much like in the case of the Jim Jones followers, these people are blindly following a man that they know very little about — to be their leader, their number one, their sole source of everything — to validate their very shallow and simple lives and he has no resume...he is literally an empty suit, but, the left continues on in true Kamakazi fashion.
And just like in the real Guyana Tragedy, all those people on the left that were so very easily persuaded to follow the obamasia will either need massive amounts of psycho therapy on November 5th for their massive case of derangement syndrome or, someone on the left will have to start serving punch because of how emotionally invested these simple people are in “the one.”
In either case, this is sad, very sad.
Yes, she is off the reservation, and for that she must be slimed. Which places her with the other prophets of our time - Clarence Thomas, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Condi Rice. Not bad company.
They seem to be hanging in there pretty good from this point.
Strength is what is needed to run this country and she has a mega dose of it...along with John McCain!

After withstanding the first few days of blistering, biased media attacks, one of the first affirmations Gov. Palin made in her acceptance speech was:
I ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE.
You go, gal.
If she would just pressure her daughter into having an abortion then the left could accept her.
But oh no, here she is walking the talk!

They look prepared to me....Sarah sure is, she proved that with her speech.
This is a temendous read, not only because it addresses the source of the animus for Palin but it defines the historical source of the left’s hatred of God and family. I had assumed within the democratic party it was more of a recent development as opposed to being the DNA that has defined the movement that gave rise to the democratics.
Why they hate her can be summed up in one sentence.
16 years is a long time to wait for a Democrat to have an opportunity to become President of the United States.
