Palin takes first swipe at Biden

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (AFP) — US Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin took her first swipe at her Democratic counterpart Saturday, casting Joe Biden as a Washington insider incapable of change.

"The choice a presidential nominee makes for a running mate says a lot about him," Palin told a flag-waving crowd at an airport hangar in the western state of Colorado.

"Senator Biden can claim many chairmanships across many, many years in Washington and certain many friends in the Washington establishment, but even those admirers would not call him an agent of change."

“Not an agent for change” is a good criticism, as far as it goes.

A much better one, and far more to the point:

Biden is a lifelong leftist with a solid leftist voting record. Obama’s record is not nearly as long, but even further to the left.

Now that’s not exactly true, “Biden” did change the names when he got caught ripping off the British MP’s speech.

A new opinion poll showed American voters remained lukewarm about the self-described "hockey mom," doubting her readiness for politics on the largest stage after a mere 20 months at her state's helm.

Wait. That's vastly more readiness than the faux messiah can speak of.

Fair and balanced as normal < /s>

Palin isn’t going after Biden here. She’s going after Obama. She is criticizing Obama for picking one of the ultimate Washington insiders after promising to be a “change” candidate.

This is getting really interesting. Obama going after Palin, the media/Democratic Party also going after Palin, Obama’s surrogates going after Palin, Palin going after Obama, no one paying attention to Biden, McCain going after swing voters (having secured the GOP base by choosing Barracuda), American’s rooting for Palin after watching her speech...I mean, how does Karl Rove do it? :)

What poll is this? I read that she has a 58% favorable rating, which is higher than McCain and Obama. The same poll has a 37% unfavorable rating. So I guess they interpreted the passionate reaction from both side as cancelling eachother out, leaving “lukewarm” in its wake.

When will these people stop?

By the way, here’s the link to the poll numbers:

I hope she is more aggressive than they are! I hope she calls them the terrible bunch of bastards that they are! I hope their heads explode and they cry until their eyes are dry and bleeding!

It's about time a "conservative leader" pegged the left for the incompetent bunch of boobs that they are!

Don't laugh, I heard one of the moonbats saying it was obvious someone was pulling the strings other than McCain. LOL. Hugh said, "Who? Halliburton? Rove? Dick Cheney??"

"Biden, 65, passed the experience bar with 66 percent approval, the same poll found."

That's still not that high a percentage for someone who's been in the halls of Congress since 1972.
