Obama considered joining military, regrets abortion answer By: Mike Allen September 7, 2008 09:11 AM EST

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) says his answer about abortion at the Saddleback Church forum was “probably” too flip.

During separate televised interviews last month, Pastor Rick Warren asked the two presidential candidates when a baby gets human rights. Obama replied that the question is “above my pay grade,” while Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) won love from the right by saying quickly, “At the moment of conception.”

Now, Obama tells ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an interview taped for “This Week”: “What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into … It's a pretty tough question. And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions.”

What a transparent phony, his voting record is THE REAL OBAMA. He supports late term abortion, state funded abortion and denying medical care to babies who survive abortion. Campaign talk is nice but his voting record reveals who HE REALLY IS.

I’m an atheist and the “When does Life begin?” question is pretty damn easy for me to answer: at conception.

I’d have to think harder about which flavor of cake I love the most.

Look the other way her folks, nothing to see. I was for patriotism before I was against it. I thought about being an upright individual once... I’m sorry I answered the way I did, also saying that I’m so self-centered that it gets in the way of helping others. I guess I uh, just need to get out of my own way, uh and let the light shine through me. I’m going to go to my “happy place” now. Thanks ya, all. Obambi

“I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into...”

Who cares about “when the soul enters the body”?

Since when is the United States a theocracy?

How about this question, “when the ‘product of conception’ is a member of the human species”?

We know when that happens - at conception.

It’s not a religious question, it’s a human rights question. Governments are established first and foremost to protect the rights of human beings. Unborn babies, from the moment of conception, are members of the species homo sapiens, are human beings.

If human rights are intrinsic, are inalienable, then they attach to human existence.

The pro-deathers should stop trying to make it a theological question to which they can throw up their arms in mock frustration, unable to answer the theological question.

Lying filth.

Well “as a Christian” you might be pretty certain that the kid had a soul by the time he/she was born alive even if it was an attempted abortion. Yet you have no qualm's whatsoever leaving the child to die because it is unwanted by it's parents.

Your new clarifications aren't operative.

More important, THIS response is obscenely dishonest:

“I think the better answer — and this was reflected in the Democratic platform — is to figure out, how do we make sure the young mothers, or women who have a pregnancy that’s unexpected or difficult, have the kind of support they need to make a whole range of choices, including adoption and keeping the child.”

A more accurate summary of the Democrat Platform is:

“If some weirdo wants to give birth, well, uh, Hey! I guess we need a few of those too, so we, like, don’t all die out. But we need to ensure government-funded abortions are readily available for thinking women who want to get on with their lives, and who don’t want to be punished with a child for a night of fun with someone.”

Heck Obama (the baby killer) second answer is worse. What kind of idiots would vote for an empty suity like Obama? It really shows how far the GOP has sunk, that an idiot, filthy, lying, baby killing, crook and elitist like Obama could even capture the American public’s attention.

If the GOP wants to capture both houses of congress and the presidency then they need to take a clue from Palin and quit acting like metrosexual country club elitist and take the fight to the dems. Go on the offensive with the liberal media and dare them to enact the ‘fairness doctrine’ - force ALL the networks to run equal conservative opinion.

He still cannot and will not answer the question directly.

Maybe that's because he real thoughts along religious lines in general have already been quoted.

"Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values. It requires that their proposals be subject to argument, and amenable to reason. I may be opposed to abortion for religious reasons, but if I seek to pass a law banning the practice, I cannot simply point to the teachings of my church or evoke God’s will. Now this is going to be difficult for some who believe in the inerrancy of the Bible, as many evangelicals do. But in a pluralistic democracy, we have no choice. Politics depends on our ability to persuade each other of common aims based on a common reality. It involves the compromise, the art of what’s possible. At some fundamental level, religion does not allow for compromise. It’s the art of the impossible."
THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA

IMHO, the sicekning, digusting, dangerous truth about Hussein and his ilk, make it imperative that any patriotic, God-fearing, liberty-loving American oppose him and help put his efforts to gain the Presidency down. That's why...

I guess since he ‘considered’ joining the military, that gives him military experience equivalent to that of George Patton. After all, campaigning for two years gave him executive experience equivalent to or greater than that of Gov Palin.

That was another obscenely dishonest line, IMHO. I was in ROTC in 1978 (later dropped out, then went to OTS in ‘83). In 1979, when he said he considered joining, we were NOT popular. On a very conservative campus in UTAH, I got a lot of strange looks and disparaging remarks wearing a uniform. I cannot imagine the response in much more liberal HAWAII.

Sorry, but this rates right up with Hillary claiming she wanted to join the Marines. In a pig’s eye, she did!

Ok...? It isn’t just a theological question. It is a legal secular question and if elected President a question you must be able to answer either due to a legislative bill appearing on your desk or when selecting a supreme court justice. So 0bama, we still are waiting for your real answer, although I can presume what it will be by looking at your record.

My point was that Obama can't even draw the line after giving birth when there's no argument at all left.
