Obama offers Palin a game of hoops

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Democrat White House nominee Barack Obama on Sunday offered to go one-on-one with Republican vice presidential pick Sarah Palin -- but only on the basketball court.
Obama, 47, who blows off steam on the campaign trail with games of pickup hoops, however joked that he wouldn't take on the Alaska governor -- and experienced hunter -- with a gun.
"She looks like she's got some game, she played in high school," Obama said of Palin's basketball talents on ABC "This Week."
"You know, I know she's a sharpshooter, and I know that -- I probably wouldn't do target practice with her.
"I think she'd be a better shot than me. But on the basketball court, I think I'd stand up pretty well."

She should take him up on it. The show would get better ratings than the NBA finals. And I bet she could beat him at HORSE.

He strikes me as the kind of guy who yells “foul” every time he misses. I definitley wouldn’t play a game calling your own with that guy.
He wouldn’t allow the game to be Horse. He’d want it to be full contact and he would require that he got to chose all the refs and officials. He figures with those advantages as well as his weight and height and her just getting back in shape from her pregnancy that he might have a chance of winning. My guess is that she’d still clean his clock.

If he wins at basketball, he’s beat up on a woman. She loses nothing.

The McCain/Palin campaign should jump on this and take up the offer. It’s a win/win for Palin.
If she wins it embarasses Obama. If he wins he looks like a dork “beating up on a girl.”
