Hell's Snowballs on Steroids: Mika Knocks 'Liberal Elite' Palin Critics
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 09/08/2008 7:30:14 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Thanks to Sarah Palin, the culture war has now become a civil war—on the left. Mika Brzezinski bravely opened a new front in the conflict during today's Morning Joe, repeatedly going after two women MSMers for their column suggesting Palin is taking the working-mom thing too far. And, mirabile dictu, Mika even admitted to sensing MSM unfairness to Republicans.

The liberal elites have propped up this lightweight for over a year. They see that he will not make it and are clearing the field for Hillary! 2012.

The media elites will not go down with this ship...

Not really too surprising.

Brzezinski realizes how much the Palin Derangement Syndrome being exhibited by the media is energizing the GOP base, and she is telling the Palin-bashers: "You're not helping!"

Morning, Mark

I caught about an hour of this, and it was incredible! Thanks for this bit of honesty, Mika.

“Brzezinski realizes how much the Palin Derangement Syndrome being exhibited by the media is energizing the GOP base,”

The guy that runs 538.com may be a Lib, but even HE is beginning to see the light:

“I am reminded of something called the Shy Tory Factor, a phenomenon observed in the early 1990s in British elections in which conservative voters (Tories) had tended to be underrepresented in pre-election polling, perhaps owing to response bias.

It seems plausible to me that some segment of conservative Republican voters had effectively been in hiding from the pollsters, either embarrassed by the performance of George W. Bush (and therefore disengaged from politics), or embarrassed to disclose to pollsters that they support him.

Suddenly, with the selection of Palin, there has been a jolt of energy within this group, a release of pent-up frustrations, and they are coming out of the woodwork. If this is the case, then perhaps the partisan composition of the electorate had never shifted as much from 2004 as it has appeared to;

rather, the conservatives were either reluctant to identify themselves as Republican, or reluctant to take a pollster’s calls in the first place.”

Now, we aren’t just energized, we are pi**ed off about how the obviously Messiah-biased media has been treating her!

If CNN doesn’t take a cue from this, they could be next for a shake-up. Are you listening Campbell Brown and Jeffrey Toobin?

Mika is still a complete ditz, as even a blind pig will get an acorn every once in a while.

Exactly right. This is the new memo to all MSM/’Rat talking heads. I saw Susan Estrich on one of the cable news shows last night essentially pleading with her MSM colleagues to back away from personal criticisms of Sarah Palin because of the sympathetic backlash it was creating.

Hmmm?

NBC

Hmmm?

NBC just rearranged the deck chairs on their Titanic with Matthews and Olbermann getting the heave-ho on election coverage in favor od Dick-less Gregory.

And just a little less than a week after NBC news chief Capus discovered that his viewers were plenty PO'ed with NBC coverage of the RNC compared to his network's fawning over the DNC.

Only time will tell if this is just a red herring approach to appear even-handed.
