Obama’s ‘My Muslim Faith’ Gaffe Fuels New Round of Rumor-Busting

Barack Obama’s campaign brushed off suggestions Monday that a verbal gaffe the Democratic candidate made during a weekend television interview is anything more than just that.

In an interview Sunday with ABC’s “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos, Obama tried to suggest that FOX News and others “closely allied” to Republicans are promulgating the notion that the Illinois senator is Muslim.

Asked about whether McCain himself has done anything to suggest he’s Muslim, Obama said, “Let’s not play games. What I was suggesting — you’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you’re absolutely right that that has not come…”

“Christian faith,” Stephanopoulos interrupted, correcting Obama.

“… my Christian faith. Well, what I’m saying is that he hasn’t suggested that I’m a Muslim. And I think that his campaign’s upper echelons have not, either. What I think is fair to say is that, coming out of the Republican camp, there have been efforts to suggest that perhaps I’m not who I say I am when it comes to my faith, something which I find deeply offensive, and that has been going on for a pretty long time,” Obama said.

I agree. He was talking about supposed accusations from the McCain camp that he's a Muslim. Stephie compounded the problem by suggesting "Christian Faith" as a substitute, instead of "supposed Muslim Faith" or whatnot.

Obama was unable to provide Stephie with any actual examples of smears coming from the McCain camp, but I think he was trying to blame it all on surrogates like Sean Hannity (who he really has a bug up his butt about).

Ya, let’s not beat him up over whether this is a secret admission of being Muslim. Let’s instead see this as part of a trend where he says awkward things, to not be able to think on his feet, of not doing well when he’s not with his tele-prompter. That’s the bigger issue, that he may be exposed in the debates or other interviews as being in over his head.

Ubama is NOT a Christian...in one interview, when asked what he would ask Jesus in person, his response was along the lines of “I hope I get to go to heaven”. Christians *know*. He’s also given some of those ‘there are many paths to God and heaven’ Oprah-type answers to faith questions, and that’s a big Christian no-no too.

This is a man who revels in his own cleverly-crafted ambiguity. With all the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, his claim that he is not a Muslim is nothing more than a fallacy of his own composition.

However, there was a news article that came out yesterday on NEWMAX.COM ( and we don't know if this was before his slip up ) that the Iranians are hoping and wishing that ( in their own word " MUSLIM " Obama wins.
There is a video of Qaddafi of Libya on you tube saying that Obama is " Muslim ... not that we believe everything that come from his ( Qaddafi's mouth ) but, he did say that Iran would get it's butt kicked if attacked by the USA ) All this give credence to whether Obama is Muslim or not.... to many dots to connect to say that he is NOT a Muslim.
