Feminists of a hundred years ago were against abortion because they knew it was a way for men to force women into submission to their sexual whims.

Joe, you’ve taken a backwards step way back as a Catholic. You better start listening to the bishops.

You’re shameful.

...Joe Biden is attacking Sarah Palin on abortion.

No, actually he is attacking his self-proclaimed faith, the Catholic Church.

Joe Biden Attacks Sarah Palin on Abortion, "Backwards Step for Women"

That may be true but just think, it's a giant step FORWARD for innocent babies.

To a confused Liberal, having a woman win a major office is a setback. It is sort of like calling Jackie Robinson a “setback” for baseball.

The twisted mind of the Left (e.g. ‘ole Plugs) is coming into full public view.

He just said Sunday on MTP that he believes life begins at conception and that he is personally opposed to any abortion, but Sarah Palin’s absolutely similar personal beliefs are a step back for women. So Joe believes that women’s rights are limited to only the ability, in his personal belief, to take an innocent life. Explain this one Joe.

I don’t understand Joe’s reasoning. Is the VP now the supreme law maker of the US? Will Palin issue a decree that makes women subservient to men?

Keep talking, Joe. The more you guys talk, the better McCain’s numbers look.

Biden and Infanticide Obama are soul brothers. Isn’t that sweet? Would that make Joe the first black Vice President?

Joe Biden is a backwards step for mankind.

Before I forget, is it not an implicit criticism of Palin’s pro-life viewpoint that she didn’t abort her newborn when she had the chance? Planned Parenthood got its start in this country as part of the eugenics movement, which sought to purify the human race by keeping the birth rate of the ‘undesirables’ down. Had the technology been available, no doubt those in said movement would have been glad that ‘defective’ children could be erased before birth. Here we are, several decades on, and the basic precepts still seem to hold.

Then again, that’s just my opinion.

Just think Joe - maybe you could harvest the embryonic hair follicles.............now there’s a scientific idea you could pass along to Gore.

Fools - even God had a bad hair day when He gave life to some of these morons.

Joe: Your shameful abuse of power in Delaware, your son’s CYA activities on your behalf against Larry Sinclair, and your brother’s lobbyist activities has put the law and common decency back MANY steps.

Here we go again - abortion, abortion, abortion - it’s all women want. The right to kill babies at will.

Does Democrat polling tell Biden this????

"I assume she thinks and agrees with the same [pro-life] policies that George Bush and John McCain think," Biden added. "And that's obviously a backward step for women."

Not killing innocent babies is a step back? It was a step back when abortion was made legal and women wanted to control their bodies. Why? Then they don't have to take responsibility that they didn't use control with their brains or body.

Hey Joe, guess what? Abortion is becoming the "unwomanly" choice as women are realizing that it's not in a WOMAN'S NATURE to kill her unborn child.

It is a commonplace to say that the women's vote will decide this election.

Biden is undoubtably well aware that their poll numbers show they are in free fall with the women's vote.

So Biden is playing the abortion card.

I do not profess to understand the psychology, much less the emotion, which moves women on this issue. But it seems to me that the issue is dangerous for both sides. It is dangerous for the Republicans who are opposed to abortion because so many women in America have had abortions and it is treacherous and self-defeating and to label them, "baby killers." On the other hand, the issue is dangerous for Democrats like Biden because of the moral impact of Governor Sarah Palin. She's had her baby with Down's syndrome and her daughter is going to have her baby. So, by trying to play the abortion card, Biden runs flat into the stubborn morality of Sarah Palin.

It seems to me this puts a whole new cast on the arguments. We're not talking abstractly about a fetus we are now talking about an identifiable human being with his sister just patted down his cowlick on national television. This is a whole different matter.

To paraphrase Stalin, 40 million dead babies is just a statistic but one dead identifiable person is a tragedy.
