AP Presents Image of Robotic Sarah Palin Who 'Sticks to Script'
NewsBusters ^ | September 10, 2008 | P.J. Gladnick

All politicians have a basic stump speech that they stick to when campaigning on the road. However, when Sarah Palin gives her stump speech the Associated Press claims, in a story written by Sara Kugler, she is sticking to a "basic script" like some programmed robot (emphasis mine):

John McCain took a risk in picking little-known Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a running mate, but now the campaign's playing it safer. She's sticking to a greatest hits version of her convention speech on the campaign trail and steering clear of questions until she's comfortable enough for a hand-picked interviewer later this week.

More than 40 million people tuned in last week to listen to the speech from Palin, the 44-year-old first-term governor whom McCain announced as his surprise vice presidential pick just days before. Since then, that basic script is all anyone has heard from her publicly, and her only interaction with the media was a brief conversation with a small group of reporters on her plane Monday — off the record at her handlers' insistence.

...Her public remarks essentially have been excerpts of her convention speech, delivered while introducing McCain at rallies.

They don’t think they can get away with this with the Obamaloon unable to string two words together without an “uh” when his electric screen brain substitute malfunctions?

Sarah does better with teleprompter malfunctions than the simpleton does with one.

He’s toast.

“Hand-picked interviewer?” Why not just say, “an interviewer who has been groomed by the GOP for 20 years just to toss up a few softballs.”

Like Obama just randomly gives interviews.

A horrible truth is beginning to dawn on the Democrats. Barack Obama is not the “once in a generation” political genius they thought they had discovered. Rather, he is a weak candidate for the presidency.

Let them keep it up. The media is falling into the same trap they did before the convention speech: portraying her as a lightweight, then reeling when she exceeds the expectations they have lowered for her.

Failure to stick to the script is one of the problems that has dogged the campaign of Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., the charismatic, messianic Magic Negro, in recent months. But then, he has been at it for some nearly two years or so. Now, parts of his message were so stale they had to recycled and revitalized some way. And they were.

In what was essentially a total contradiction of what he had said earlier, and caused him to look as if he had departed from the script. When these inconsistencies are brought up, he goes into “thoughtful mode”, a sure sign he has been knocked off message and off script. Forced to speak, he becomes hesitant, and the answers, upon analysis, do not make even good double-talk gibberish.

Sometimes “hope” and “change” alone are not enough.

These idiots don't understand that it is NOT "sticking to the script", it is STAYING ON MESSAGE.

Governor Palin understands that, our opponents do not.

I have noticed McCain is also sticking to his standard stump speech.

The more I thought about it, such strategy makes sense.

Obama and Biden are on the defensive now. Obama and Biden are the ones who are being forced to ad lib their speeches to energize their base. And as we all know, when Obama and Biden ad lib, they will almost always flub up.

So I believe we are seeing a very intentional strategy by the McCain camp to stick with their major talking points.

Of course, the media hates McCain for doing this as it forces MSM to also be on the defense covering up for Obama and Biden’s gaffes!!!!

Go McCain Go!!!!!!
