Jonah, re that incisive insight by Deeppan Pizza, I would hate to have to do as much parenthesizing as PC liberalism requires. I loved this bit:

That's true. Many years ago Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr sang "Me And My Shadow". Oh, wait...
By the way, I'm no deep thinker but isn't the metaphor he's looking for not Barack's shadow but Barack's negative?

In Jungian psychology, the Shadow is the underdeveloped segment of the psyche that an idividual must recognize and integrate to achieve wholeness and balance. In Obama’s case, his shadow is a Ronald Reaganesque figure. Obama will always be the manchild.
I might even pay for a photoshop of that. :-)
