Russian Bombers Land in Venezuela

Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez says two Russian bombers have arrived in the country to carry out training flights.

The Russian Air Force said the bombers would be based in Venezuela for several days and fly over neutral waters.

Earlier this week Russia confirmed that it would send a Navy squadron and long- range patrol planes for joint exercises with Venezuela in November.

Mr Chavez has developed close relations with Moscow, including the purchase of Russian arms and co-operation on oil.

Hugo Chavez announced that two Tu-160 bombers would carry out manoeuvres, saying that it was part of a move towards a "multi-polar world".

"I'm going to fly one of those beasts," he joked.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Chavez: Ready to fly

"The Yankee hegemony is finished," he added...

There is an alternative and that is Alcohol. What needs to be changed is from using corn to sugar beets. There is a variety of beets that get up to 15 pounds each and are very high in sugar. There is a good book out there called Alcohol its a gas. The guy who wrote the book has been growing and distilling his oun gas for over 20 years. If one person can do it the whole nation could go to alcohol too.

I've listened to most of Obama's speeches, and he is not a leader/President..

He would not protect the USA, but he would be advised by Islamic radicals
to feign the "right thing to do" or "correct direction".

Obama has been a puppet from the beginning, and it's been proved by Obama himself.
If Obama had written his own speeches he would know his own language, and that's not happened.

The simple word "Integrity" explains itself, and needs no other spin or interpretation.

I know the word very well because I've moved around the USA all my life,
First as a Navy brat. And now as an humble neighbor, and as a business owner.

Americans will know how to vote, and they will see for themselves who has Integrity.

I have no idea which route to alternative fuels is best.

But if we don’t come up with at least two alternatives with in ten years, we deserve to be put in the dust bin if history.

And these alternatives must not just be theoretical abstracts but be available at every US gas station.

I'm with you to begin with we need to take all the low sulfur coal and gasify it to begin with until other fuels can be developed. I read a very good article awhile back called coal in your gas tank. It talked about how the Nazi's made gas from coal and ran their airplanes and trucks and cars off it. We hear how they made synthetic gas which gives the illusion that it was made in a laboratory but it was coal refined into gasoline.

Chavez is in China's backpocket. He is more than friends with Castro.

Russia would not dare to — though they threatened a couple of weeks ago to — create a “refueling” station on Cuba.

This is the resurgence of an early sixties Soviet show of strength.

Do NOT forget that the real goal of Khruschev putting missiles on Cuba was to checkmate our missiles in Turkey.

Quietly, in early 1963, JFK withdrew our ‘offensive” missiles there, after the Soviets had lost face during the crisis. Their plan was never to actually attack -- much to Castro's chagrin -- but to checkmate us and give them leverage at November 1962 UN meeting over the Berlin Wall. We found out about the missiles on Cuba before they were operational, and this gave JFK tremendous strategic advantage.

Russia as a totalitarian police state was never properly buried in the dust heap of history. She never had to “pay” in any metaphoric or real sense for the war crimes of the Cold War, or even the over 80 million slaughtered by Stalin.

George Urban of the Voice of America predicted in 1997 that because the former USSR never had a world judgment like Nuremberg for the crimes of the KGB and Stasi police — that it the apparent altruism of the Marxist deception would cause Russia to rise again from the dead.

He was right.

This is much more dangerous than 1962. China and Venezuela’s oil are now part of the picture... and Venezuela is well within missile range of the U.S.

Within 10 years America could be producing 120% of its own energy (in all forms combined) if we wanted to.

We could make OPEC impotent and be exporting oil.

We’ll never get away with producing 100% of our own energy because in a free market, the oil will go to the highest bidder and at the cheapest cost. But our putting dent in the world production market help cure a lot of woes.

By the way, taxing “big oil” here in the US makes them want to sell oil in other countries that don’t tax them as much, thus lowering our supply, again. What oil we do get that has been taxed will reflect the price of the tax in the consumers charge.

In a global market, the business friendly companies just happen to be the ones that are the cheapest and least risky to operate in. America is not friendly to businesses other than being the worlds largest consumer.

It is a TOTAL act of aggression. Thank you for making note. I forgot to say in the post above that Russia/China/Venuezuala love to make military agreements and shows of force in between Presidential terms of office.

They know this is our “weak” time in terms of “power”.

China signed some military agreements with Cuba during the 2000 election, when “no one was looking”.

Though the American mindset does not like to feel the heat of a missile threat — look at our big collective yawns a few fourth of July’s ago when N Korea shot a missile towards CA.

As China was certainly behind that “test missile”, they learned that Korea, while certainly capable of firing an iCBM at the US, is off our “radar” because they “seem” so far away.

As China now controls both side of the Panama Canals with leases and has turned a lot of Panama into Chinatown, their need for oil from Chavez makes them a major player in this region.

I know this is not new news to most FREEPERS, but it how our enemy looks at us and our vulnerabilities is pretty scary. “Specially with tomorrow being the date it is and ‘specially since I read that we really do not have a strong missile defense system.

Whatever defense system we do have, I am not so sure China has not already hacked.

Sorry to sound so dire, but even though the Cold War was supposed to be over in the War on Terror, it is actually a worse situation than even the Cuban Missile Crisis.

China thinks long term we think short term. They could start a war and over run us with foot soldiers and never run out of them. I hate to say it but there have been many dreams and visions concerning the USA and it is not pretty what is coming our way and the worlds way either. for the first time in a long time I’m looking into getting some protection that you can hold in your hands if you know what I mean.

Yeah. I think this A A Allen guy got caught up in the “Latter Rain/Manifest sons of God” crap that i have, on a Christian level been freaking about lately, but before he was suckered into that, on July 4, 1954, this is the vision he had from the Statue of Liberty:

http://revlu.com/AAAllen.html

I was re reading it tonight because even though Alaska was not a state in 1954, it was mentioned in his vision. Sarah Palin seems to believe, and I don't know if I disagree, that Alaska is some sort of “refuge” state for the lower 48, in terms of oil and otherwise. It is an interesting 21st century take on Manifest Destiny.

This vision pretty much lays out a missile strike from the Venezuelan area in the Gulf of Mexico. Some other visionary had a vision of China/Russia and Caribbean nations signing a military pact against us.

Interesting to keep in mind that A A Allen, in 1954, had no idea what “anti ballistic missile systems” or “star wars” technology might be... yet he saw “interceptor” missiles fail.

I hope this is a false prophesy. My only thought about it is that with all the sick things in the name of Homeland security that Bush has done to wreck our freedoms here, that God is not pleased. Email me after you read the vision, too. It sent chills down my spine.

Does anyone know if that is anything more than a giant target drone?

Like all modern bombers, it has no self defense capability, other than ECM. (We've even taken the guns out of the B-52s' tails. However the Tu-160, like the B-1, was designed to go fast, and do it on the deck. It can use terrain masking to hide from ground based, and to some extent even airborne radars.

Even in the piss poor state that it's in, US air defenses are highly unlikely to be defeated by two airplanes, unless perhaps they were B-2skies or F-117skis.

They could start a war and over run us with foot soldiers and never run out of them.

No they could not, because they would have to transport those soldiers by sea.

And those soldiers would then be deployed to the Marianas Trench, not the Pacific Coast.

If China attacks the US, it will be with ballistic missiles - using our technology that was sold to them by Bernie Schwarz with the blessing of his close friend Bill Clinton.

Do they still call the engine startup panel in the nosewheel bay the “Carlucci Panel”?

I thought the joke of that was that those missiles had passed their shelf life and were scheduled to be removed anyway???

If that was the joke, the punch-line was that we were going to replace them with more modern and capable missiles.

We didn’t.

"For those with a sense of history, a factor behind the 1962 Cuban missile crisis was Washington’s deployment of Atlas IRBMs in Italy and Turkey, which, in the wake of the confrontation, Washington quietly agreed to remove, as the development of ballistic missile submarines, the final component of Washington’s nuclear triad, obviated the need for forward basing of nuclear missiles off Russia’s southern shore." - LINK
