Love him or hate him, John McCain is a maverick. Whether as a lone wolf initially pushing the surge, or in Conjunction with Democrats he is a maverick. He seems to be at the epicenter of every major issue. In fact, with McCain it is not a love or hate relationship its a love and hate relationship. Sometimes the right loves him and the left hates him, sometimes it the other way around. Thats a maverick.
Sarah Palin, too, is a maverick. In two years as governor she has brought more true reform than Joe Biden and Barack Obama combined even if you include Obamas time doing Jesus work as a community organizer. The fact she did it against her own party isnt the icing on the cake its the proof thats in the pudding.
The Obama / Biden campaign is now complaining that the McCain / Palin team has confiscated their message of change. After all, Obama has talked about change for almost two years now and even given some wonderful speeches on the subject. Im sure Biden has also mentioned it in a Senate Committee meeting or two. During the last two years Palin was enacting reforms while Obama was merely talking about it. Palin walked the walk while Obama was talking the talk. Obamas claim to change is akin to Gores claims to the internet.
I know some find Obamas resume paper thin. I disagree. I think it is most revealing. It reveals someone who rather than seek reform purposefully setout to promote himself and follow the shortest path to the White House. He wrote memoirs before doing anything memorable, worked his way into the Chicago political machinery and drove it to where he is today.
To me there is no better comparison between Palin and Obama then the fact Palin took on a corrupt machine and overhauled it while Obama sought out a corrupt machine and greased its wheel!
“...He wrote memoirs before doing anything memorable, ...”
An excellent article, but those words above say almost all we need to know about Obama.
I’d like to add that actually, he never has done anything memoriable. (Getting nominated by the Dhimmicratic party for anything is most definitely not memorable.)
Seriesly this belongs in Breaking News.
It is that hugh.
