It isn't a compromise it is basically the same bill as Steve Pearce is discussing in this video.

Steve Pearce fights Democrat *Hoax* Drill bill
Representative Pearce who is running for the Senate points out that Democrat
energy bill would actually erect more barriers to drilling and illustrates the
liberal environmental activists who are funding Democrats in efforts to stop
drilling and domestic energy production.

Help Steve defeat liberal Tom Udall

Make sure to vote in the online Presidential Poll. The KOS kids have been screwing with it.

No compromise when over 70% of Americans want the ban to expire! Hold their feet to the fire and tell the American people what you are doing. Tell them that it will expire on X date and force it to expire even if it means not passing a single anything until the day after it expires!

Compromise? This should be an example of a “legislative pocket veto”.

NO. NO. NO. No compromise.

Economy=Energy.

Republicans should swing for the fence and take the down the Democrat controlled congress by wire-brushing them with this issue right up to election day.

Georgia's two GOP Senators are waffling on this issue. SAXBY CHAMBLISS and JOHNNY ISAKSON are supporting a "compromise" bill that provides only limited expansion of offshore drilling and preserves the drilling ban in ANWR and many key western oilfields. Many people expected such disloyalty from a RINO like Isakson, but Chambliss's support base is furious over his post-primary betrayal. Chambliss hides behind the excuse that "the people want us to do something" -- while we hold the winning hand in just letting the ban expire!

At the brink of absolute triumph, CHAMBLISS and ISAKSON want to snatch a continued stalemate from the jaws of victory. What is it about the Senate that turns fighters into traitors? Damn these weak-kneed RINOs!

No big deal. The President will veto anything that increases taxes for oil companies and that which restricts any drilling. There's no way the Rats can get 67 Senators to override a veto.

I don't know how many of our Reps in either house are running this year...BUT...you represent "THE PEOPLE". It is NOT their job to tell us to go to hell.

9% is something to be ashamed of...Looks like they're going for 2%.

“use Corn”....showed the stupidty of subsidizing alternatives. We’re paying again and again. It just creates another dip fund for the government.

Chambliss is a RINO and then some.

Remember the immigration amnesty bill. He was a big backer of it. His reason (said at a Republican event in GA): “Who will pick our crops?”

I live in GA and can tell you Chambliss is part of the problem.

Isakson! The GA Democratic part ENDORSED Isakson when he ran. They actually told their own candidates to drop out.

Let the drilling moratorium expire.

If Dingy Harry trys to close down the goverment like he has threatened to do, it will be a gift that will put the GOP back in power after this election.

What would be really fun is to get the Big Oil companies out protesting against offshore drilling and opening ANWR. Get them to come out and say “More drilling is not a good thing, it would hurt our profits”. Publically denounce it, and side with Nancy Pelosi.

Heck, I’d like to see them sending huge donations to anti-drilling environmentalist groups to denounce drilling, that way they can then say, “Look who’s really in deep with Big Oil”.

:)

We are not here to compromise our energy independence. We are not compromising anything. Let the bill expire.
