Is Palin as Conservative as Cheney? (vanity)
Posted on 09/13/2008 11:06:11 AM PDT by Charles Bronson Forever
I don't think so. Right away, the Left is trying to portray her as Cheney in a dress. This'll backfire, hopefully. She's able to connect with the populace in ways Cheney could not. McCain and Palin need to learn right away-don't cozy up with the news media.
I really believe that, if Palin plays her cards right and sticks to her guns, she will be the first female President. I think a future Palin / Romney ticket would do fine.

Roughly the same. But I’d take Cheney for prez over either Palin or McCain in a heartbeat.

I like VP Cheney a lot. And I particularly liked him during the VP debates in 2004, when that sissy Edwards went on and on about Mary Cheney being a lesbian and, when asked for a response, VP Cheney smiled that big, slow crocodile smile of his and said only “I thank Mr. Edwards for the kind words about my family.” He showed Edwards to be a cheap shot weenie, and probably frightened him into peeing his pants, too.

Sarah is more conservative than Dick.
She hasn't joined the elitist CRF yet.

For me, it is too early to say. I’ve only known about her for a month or so, and her past history in government is relatively short. I’ll wait and see, especially since she will be answering to a President who is decidedly less than a true conservative. We shall see who influences whom more.
I remind myself that I once thought Bush was a conservative.

I’m praying for Palin/Jindal in 2012. Unstoppable ticket, me thinks.

I agree, Palin should continue to connect with the public and not the media.

Palin need to learn right away-don't cozy up with the news media.
In her first speech, Sarah told the media where's she at. I don't think she needs to learn anything in that area nor needs advice.
I say don't get caught up w/what the media says or wants. They have an overwhelming desire to pin labels on people - put them in a category.
Sarah is her own person and they can't seem to understand 'what - who she is'. She is not looking for approval, she isn't looking for power. She's a mom who joined the PTA for the benefit of her children. She was recognized for her determination to get the 'wrong' out and exposed for the good of her town, state and citizens. The rest is history.
I love Cheney and Reagan - us conservatives are/were truly blessed to have them. And now Sarah - fighting the good fight - never blinking.
Let's enjoy having a conservative who stepped forward and answered the call - and one who doesn't give a rip about the media or PC or liberal agenda. She acts - she doesn't react. And let the media spin their wheels solo. After all, that is what Sarah is doing.

Two very different people, both excellent in their own ways. Why compare them? Dick Cheney has done great work for his country, and soon will be stepping down.

Cheney has been a great VP, most of us wanted him to be President, and most of the country loves him.
What's with dumping on the old team?

Oh, be still my heart. My beloved Bigtime, how I adore him. The best of the Bush bunch. Wrong guy got elected President in 2000, and I don't mean Gore.

I agree with the Palin/Jindal ticket, or vice versa. With both of them in the White House, the US would benefit greatly.
