"Does anyone else here see a pattern? "

You don't need to see a pattern.
These aren't the statistics you are looking for.
You can go about your business.
Move along...move along. ;-)

The Obama people exploded today with sleaze accusations. It was this and the Pennsylvania numbers that caused it.

They are enraged more than terrified. Neither state of mind is wise when you have to raise $85 million in two months from a depressed base in order to compete.

McCain is ahead of Obama in Rasmussen poll 49-47 in New Mexico. North Dakota 55-41%, Ohio 55-44%. Virginia 49-41%.
In Michigan Obama is ahead 51-46%, Pennsylvania 47-45%, Washington State 49-47%, Colorado 49-46%. Florida is tied at 48%. We must take Florida to win! McCain is gaining ground fast in a lot of the key states! A month ago McCain was behind in Michigan by 12 points!

In regards to Indiana, I agree it is a GOP state.

However, you have a fairly large population of African Americans and people who work in Chicago/Illinois living those communities in the far northwest portion of the State (Gary, Schererville, etc.) For all intents and purposes, those are suburbs of Chicago that I think the Obama campaign figures they’ll score high in.

Neither NC nor Indiana are battleground states. Zogby is an idiot Yes - I saw that too - Indiana - he probably oversampled Gary

Well, combined with the Zog special sauce of McCain up in PA, this has to be causing the Obama people to get out the razor blades.

Despite the fact that Zogby is usually a leftist poll, this is amazing.

The problem with their map is that-—based on their own methodology-—the latest polls in NM and MI both put McCain up.

These numbers are (pleasantly) hard to believe.

I think with these Zogby polls we are seeing the Bradley effect at work!

Behind a computer they will tell someone what they really think..

I notice that too

I could not BELIEVE IT when Dan Blather was calling the last election for Bush and Florida was showing 60% for bush but he insisted on callin it a tossup, but any state over 40$ for Kerry was a (D) state...

What does the red/blue map look like if you use the democrap coloring code? (anything even close gets called for McCain)

Every time I see the electoral numbers I cant help wishing we could break up California. It's only the central coastal areas that drive the whole state blue

I think a lot of people in California stay home on election day because they think, "well, the State's going to go for the Democrat no matter which way I vote." When you get out of LA, San Francisco, etc, vast areas of California are strikingly conservative. The whole idea of CA as a "blue state" might just be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I’m originally from Nashua, and still visit my extended family there regularly. The few registered D’s left among them abandoned Obama/Biden for McCain/Palin after the convention. It’s as if Palin gave them the excuse they were looking for not to vote for Obama.

I think you may have a good point. I live in San Diego, and never miss an election. The 52ed district is a solid red district and I plan to do my part to keep it that way. However, I can see how people who live in other parts of the state are completely demoralized, and just stay home.

Zogby’s polls are way out of whack! He’s got McCain up but 5 points in two Democratic stongholds NH and PA. But then he’s got McCain trailing in Republican stongholds NC and IN? What gives here?
