Mrs. Obama stresses need for faith, prayer in Ohio stop Ohio Baptists give her warm welcome

'We can either settle for the world as it is or ... we can fight ... for the world as it should be,' Michelle Obama said.

CINCINNATI - "I come here today as a Christian,'' Michelle Obama said yesterday to a standing ovation at a convention of mostly black Baptists. She appealed not only for their prayers but for their votes for her husband.

"This election is going to change the world,'' she said. "This election will determine the course of an entire generation. Just think about that.

"I know that no one here wants to look back and think, 'Wouldn't that have been great?'•" she said. "I don't want to think about what might have been. I want to look back and think, 'We did it. We really did it, and we did it together.'•''

The nonprofit National Baptist Convention USA Inc. is not permitted to endorse a candidate, but there was no doubt that the crowd of about 4,700 watching her speech in the convention center ballroom and in an overflow room receiving a video feed was firmly behind Sen. Barack Obama.

Two issues come to mind:
  1. Rather than attend the 9/11 Memorial Services in New York Michele Obama is doing campaign stops.
  2. Michele is campaiging at a tax-exempt religious organization
Damn!

As a Christian, it boggles my mind how other Christians could vote for someone who supports live-birth abortion, or abortion, in general.

Mostly black Baptists, no doubt. Voting for their race is more important than ooting for the right to life. Well, there are Christians, and then there are christians.

They AREN'T Christians! Oh I know they call themselves that but its just a label.

Anyone who is in favor of homosexuality, abortion and Marxism (thus enslaving the population) ISN'T a Christian!

I used to attend an off shoot of Obama’s church here in Alabama. I was brand, spanking new Christian and I left that church when I realized that it was a false one.

It is not a Baptist group. It is a DNC front group that pimps for Obama.

"This election is going to change the world,'' she said.

I have yet to find one policy or position in the Obama campaign that backs this claim

"This election will determine the course of an entire generation. Just think about that.

Horse crap.

Worse case scenario is Obama wins, country swings hard left. People actual realize Obama REALLY IS A FRAUD, throw his ass out next election cycle. Conservatism reassert itself as the wise and prudent position

I can understand the pride in Black Americans but many will not vote for a man who promotes abortion up to and even after birth.

Technically it is a Baptist group. And they aren’t just pimping Obama. This same bunch was all agog at Billy Clinton.

I come here today as a Christian

So how come the MSM doesn't label her as a religious fanatic, a zealot, a nut bent on sending women back to the stone age?

"Mrs. Obama stresses need for faith"

Faith in her hostility, nastiness and anti-Americanism, maybe?

Anybody send this to Drudge yet?

I was going to say that most Baptists vote Republican, until I saw that it was a black Baptist church. Race is more important than one’s soul I reckon.

Yeah, they have been around awhile. But half their stories they link to on their front page are about Obama.
