Sarah Palin's abrupt appearance on the national stage sparked an enormous array of questions, one of which is: Has she ever traveled abroad?
I asked her new spokeswoman, Maria Comella, who noted that Palin visited Germany and Kuwait in 2007 to visit Alaska National Guard troops.
Comella said she'd also visited one other country: Ireland.
I never got a passport until 2006. I was 59 at the time.
I will be very very (blank blank blank) if small things like this which should not even have been said cause Palin to lose votes or the fence sitters become so disillusioned they don't even vote. This is a very tight race.
I just feel things, and I am starting to worry.
In skiing, if you tend to become too relaxed at the end of the last run, that is when most accidents happen. Same goes for this race!!!
These technicalities can become nightmares in the very time spent in explanations. Obama knows oh so well with the Pig comment. I never want to see a pig again. The media tortured us with this pig repetitive rhetoric. No wonder people are unable to differentiate between News and Commentary! In the grand scheme of things..little importance to me, you and the rest of the tax raped citizens of this nation. Pigs being of little importance to the fighting men and women in Afganistan and Iraq.
Next time say, Ireland..stopped there once to refuel, wish I could have had time to visit blah blah blah..perhaps twas on the way to "the border" so forementioned. What is so hard about..telling the Truth?
I’ve never had one, probably never will.
It seems to me that a lot of these new issues with McCain and Palin are somewhat elitist. How many voters have never traveled overseas? How many don’t use email or the computer? It seems to me that only a certain, dare I say, elitist, person would care that Sarah hasn’t traveled to Europe. Most Americans would probably rather that she “See America First”. She probably drives a Chevy, too, while I see Obama in a Pious.
The lady’s had kids since she was 25 or so, probably not a lot of time or money for that European vacation. If anybody has looked at a map recently, you can’t just jet off to the French Riviera on a moment’s notice from Alaska, unless there are flights from Anchorage direct over the North Pole.
And if she went to Japan or China or Russia on official state business, the headlines would blare “Palin Takes Junkets to Asia on Taxpayer Dime!”.
I hope this year is the perfect storm that relegates all of the mainstream moron media to the dustbin of American culture.
Shoot. I’ve been to Nova Scotia, Canada, Holland and Germany - whoop de doo! There are people who have been on trips around the world, but don’t have the skills Governor Palin has in her little finger. - Besides, as Vice President of the United States, she can take the whirlwind trip that the world traveler, Barry Obama, took last month and like him, she can take it on the gubmint’s dime on “state business”. . or did his campaign pay for it?
