Magazine photographer shoots McCain to look like monster

When the Atlantic sought a portrait of GOP presidential nominee John McCain for the cover of its October 2008 issue, the magazine called self-described "hard-core Democrat" Jill Greenberg, who took the opportunity to purposefully make McCain look bad, including snapping a shot in which the candidate looms like a horror-movie monster.

Greenberg, whose website – www.manipulator.com – advertises her heavily retouched photography style, told the editors of Photo District News that she chose to omit even a standard, complimentary retouching of McCain's photos.

"I left his eyes red and his skin looking bad," she said.

According to a report in PDNPulse, a professional photography blog by the editors of Photo District News, Greenberg tricked McCain during the photo shoot in early August into thinking he was lit by a modeling light, when in reality, the lighting was rigged from below to make McCain look awful.

Media out of control... and I'll bet Jill Greenburg soon will be out of work in the mainstream. This is a new low. It was impossible for Jill Greenburg to set aside her political fanaticism just long enough to be a professional photographer. Then again, she apparently has never been a professional. Just google a sampling of her work.. a host of snarling monkeys and crying kids. Grotesque, at the very least.

Just one more cheat stunt that will fail and backfire on the road to a McCain/Palin victory.

Check out her website to see how she further misused photos taken from the shoot to contort the image of a war hero. I'm just angry beyond words.

Those are the “nice” ones... she has doctored other photos from the shoot in a grotesque manner, one of them with Sen. McCain with sharp teeth dripping blood, and other non-sense.

And she has the nerve to say that the employer was irresponsible for hiring her!

Sort of like the "don't blame me, I just take pictures" defense?

What kind of reality do these liberals live in? Are they ever responsible for anything?

She brags about mis-leading McCain and staff to think the special lighting for the "monster shot" aka Lugosi type, was a normal shooting technique. She then took photos from the shoot and photoshopped them and posted on her website which is not what a professional photographer would do. She says she hopes to sell them to liberal publications and has considered putting the picture with bloody teeth on a billboard.
